Title: Hints on Lei Fang?
Description: just for the record

I would like to know if anyone has specific tactics for Lei Fang in general.
I am trying to master her, but I must admit is not that simple, so any help is more than welcome. ;)

I've been using Leifang for 2 months now, she's quickly becoming my fav character.
I practice the her special holds (b, uf) and (b,df), cuz that's where her strong game is, she excels defensively. She has more unique holds but these two I find to be most useful (and damaging).
For offense,
The shoulder charge (b,f+p) and 3 kicks (uf+k,k,k) work extremely well against the computer. Note for the 3 kicks, you can stop after you do one or two kicks and continue with another combo.
Poking is awesome. (db+p,p) I find to be very useful, as is (db+k). Mix these up with high and mid hits. Also (df+k,p) is good because the last hit is not reversable.
She also has good throws. Her throw combos usually do about 100 damage.
Leifang has somewhat of a problem sending the opponent into walls and stuff more than other characters. I recommend avoiding walls and stuff.
Have fun!!!

Thanks, wind!
Yesterday I trained harder with the holds.
I wasn't that comfortable in using them, but they are more fluid now and they are really cool in Lei Fang.
I never really had a character I played more, but then I started giving some tries with her and ended up liking her better.
I play more DOA3 nowadays, but I loved the shots I gave with her on the DOA2 (Dreamcast version).

no prob, glad to hear your having fun. yea, the holds are quite hard to do at first... but once you get them down its so addictive... now I rarely find myself using her regular holds anymore.
I started out by practicing against Jann Lee ... IMO he's one of the easiest characters to beat cuz he's so predictable. Just "hold" him to death. Then gradually move up to harder characters like Tina :eyebrow: and Kasumi  .

she's a fun character, not my style but still fun.
She's a high defense offender. in other words she really rips you apart when she's got her guard on and if you time things just right. The easiest own u quickly moves are her vicious high low counters(I dislike her expose your back ones counters are meant to damage and then set u up not just set u up especially since so many characters can attack from behind) and her quad kick combo is great. Also the shoulder charge is an instant stun if timed correctly and rules

One-hitters and her tripple kick are the two keys to success.

I beg to differ... When her back is against the wall... hold back and press Grab to send them face first to the wall so that they are unable to counter any of your combos...
PP6P6P -x2
When they're facing you, Use: PP6KK -x2
Or if they're gonna counter, press 66G and as they are gettin' off of the wall... surprise them with BK (R Tigger) Assuming you didn't change you control configuration. trust me... use this stuff... WISELY and the wall is soooo-your friend.
She practically owns the wall... if you can use her right. Play your cards like a master... and be ready to have "back up" for your actions.
It's so sexy. ^_^'
