Title: Metallica Death Magnetic

Ok so we all know that St. Anger was a steaming pile of shit, but Death Magnetic is fucking awesome, it's a very clean album, everything is very precise. My only complaint is on one song the lyrics are quite corny and repetitive. listening to it nao will provide more later most likely tomorrow.

Yeah I've had the album since it's release day and its defs a good album. On the topic of St. Anger, I actually really liked it. It's not really a Metallica album though, and I think that if they sold it to a different band that was more similar in style to that album it wouldve done really well.

So i found the first half of the album to be more power charged and enjoyable then the second half, but that was only the first listen through.

TO me Death Magnetic sounds too polished. James should have never taken those damn voice lessons. He sounded so much better pre Black Album IMO. It's still the best Metallica album in like 20 years though and it grows on me a little more with each listen.

I got the cd two days after it came out. Much better than the last few! I think it is a good album and is back to Metallica! St. Anger just didn't do it for me. It had little replay value. I listened to it dozen times or so and basically put it away. Death magnetic is much better IMO and a step toward more goodness! I hope!

Metallica is back as far as I'm concerned...hope it stays that way!

I know your aren't king obvious, but......I thinks every one of them is dead! Dispite my personal like or dislike for some of the singers/bands mentioned....it is kinda tough for them to produce music from the grave!

And NO, Joe Cannibal Corpse is not a metal band "back from the dead"!

Also Kung, you have a very good point, however modern science has yet to bring back the dead....that I am am aware of!

I got the album less than 24 hours after it came out, and listened to it many many times. It's quite groovy, and yes I do beleive Metallica is back.

There will never be anything close to And Justice For All, from any band, ever. They gave that album everything they had, they blew their wad on that one. In my opinion the Black album was one of their worst. Yeah it was good music but it was also when they began to really really change, it was hard to take. They were different and were trying to hard to be who they were. Load, I think, was one of their best albums ever. It was when they accepted the change, and went with it. But then they took it to far for years after. With St Anger they had tried to swing back to the Justice days, but went to far. Hopefully now they will be able to stay at this happy medium they seem to have swung to.

I cant help but love Death Magnetic- they really grabbed things by the balls and put together some 100% pure mother fuckin electricity.

St Anger was a disappointment.....a defintie oddball. It sounded like Lars is playing the drums on a stir fry WOK
