Description: ones that actually aren't sht
Dingu - January 2, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
im going to be honest with you guys, I haven't seen a good remake since 1992's Dracula when I was about 6 or 7 I saw it and it had been out for around 3 or 4 years. It scared the shit out of me for osme odd reason.
Have any of you guys seen an actual good remake?
Cablejoe - January 2, 2008 10:42 PM (GMT)
Tin Man was kind of a remake of the Wizard of Oz I did like That, I cant tell you who was in it though Dingu! Nothing else really come to mind.
cracker - January 3, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Texas chain saw massacre wasn't bad. psycho was good too.
Cablejoe - January 3, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
I know, Night of The living dead That was a good Modern remake of an old classic! for sure.
Trendkiller - January 3, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
I never saw the original Dawn of The Dead, and I'm not much for horror movies, but the remake is FUCKING AWESOME
Also, the best remake of all time would have to be Evil Dead II which is a remake of Evil Dead, both directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell, the very 1st LIVING GOD
Hay did you guys know the 1979(or whenever it was) movie Scarface with Pacino was a remake? :shotgun: :erm:
Dingu - January 3, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
shieeettt i did not kno that trend! I guess that would be on my list too. I guess DOTD was a work of art too.

yes sir, except I cant remember the title of the movie it was a remake
also, beaten to "dawn of the dead"
the original is pretty good, but I've only seen the old one and heard excellent things about the new one.
the good the bad and the ugly is a good remake of a samurai movie (and the other movies in that trilogy)
the departed is also a remake of a movie from taiwan or hong kong or something.

Hell no!!! I want to see the original now!!!
xd40 - January 4, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
I think if we did enough research we would find that very many of the movies from the last couple decades are remakes. Seems even movies we didn't know were remakes, are remakes!
I wonder if I can fit the word remake in there one last time?!lol
Cablejoe - January 4, 2008 11:03 PM (GMT)

Jesus_Christ_Pose - January 5, 2008 07:46 AM (GMT)
the thing from another world , first out during the cold war scare, then remade in 1982 with kurt Russell was an excellent yet kinda tongue in cheek comedy/horror/sci back then, but redone by John Carpenter, and man! the thing taking your body parts and re animating them? nice work JC

BUMP this shit cos I'm kinda pissed off about something I heard last night while watching TCM (Turner Classic Movies) I just got done watching Karate Kid (pt1) and after the credits the old dude hosting the channel always shares a few trivia tidbits, and he mentioned a RE-MAKE being done with (holds back vomit) Jaden Smith as Daniel and Jackie Chan as Mr. Miyagi (which I'm ok with) So obviously this is veering right off the track because of Will Smiths kid in this movie, just bullshit...fucking bullshit! I'm VERY upset about this...cos it'll probably be cool with Jackie Chan in it but that Will Smith kid is just ruining it for me...take me some more time to get used to it. Also, it will be called Kung fu kid, not Karate... and different character names but ESSENTIALLY the same fucking movie. Anyway, what do I care...movies are a dime a dozen these days. Only get maybe 1 or 2 good movies a year.
termy - July 25, 2009 06:06 PM (GMT)
that kid is like 10.
if i remember the original movie correctly one of the themes in it was teenager shit. fuck this
kung - July 25, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
yeah teh originals, the ones with Ralph in them (don't remember the 3rd with Hilary Swank too well) always had this love story side plot, kinda lame but man that's what the 80's was all about, lame love stories but you had fuckin fun when you went to the movies, you got entertainment!
Cablejoe - July 26, 2009 03:52 PM (GMT)
Will smith is gonna back it and try to give his kid a hand up in the movie business so the the little nigger dont have to do physical work for a living is all. I have seen this many times look at the Sheen family or the Bridges family?
termy - July 26, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
i'm not going to help will smiths kids make more money than me. im like especially when he still shits in a diaper

ha-haaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! :awesome:
yeah i just hate celebrity kids in general it ain't so much he's black or even will smiths kid but celebrity kids just plain suck and born with everything handed down to them. the only joy i get is watching them fall on their faces when they realize they can't live up to the successes their parents reached.
Trendkiller - July 27, 2009 04:44 PM (GMT)
Holy fuck I had no idea that was Brandon Teena (Teena Brandon) in the female karate kid movie! They all sucked dick after the 2nd one.
kung - July 28, 2009 04:53 PM (GMT)
what the hell is that dude, some after school special or i know, i know it's one of those lifetime movies on the woman's entertainment channel, amirite? I couldn't find shit on it at imdb.com
i remember her most from the million dollar baby. pretty good movie...glad they haven't made a remake of that, course it's hard to make a sequel when the lead character dies i guess they could bring her back from the dead though! and call it million dollar zombie!
John Updike - July 28, 2009 10:10 PM (GMT)
female karate kid movie, also known as "the next karate kid" !!!!
kung - July 29, 2009 02:44 AM (GMT)
No man, I knew that I didn't know what he meant by the name Teena Brandon, til I just googled it and found that was Swank's character name in Boys Don't Cry (relevance TK???) Anyway, I was confused because I thought he meant that was Swank's character name for The Next Karate Kid when I knew it wasn't and I couldn't figure out att what movie the Teena character came from as I was tired as fuck, lol
Trendkiller - July 29, 2009 06:50 AM (GMT)
Holy fucking ass. Another Childhood wish has been fulfilled.
http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=tron2I have been praying for this day since the very early 80's, and today I find it from an obscure link at MSNBC.
I recommend fullscreen with full volume.
John Updike - July 29, 2009 02:57 PM (GMT)
I heard about that, aren't they basing it on the most recent (3d) video game or some shit? IDK, the whole 80's computer animation was most of why the original ruled so much so it'll be interesting to see how they deal with that
xd40 - July 30, 2009 01:09 AM (GMT)
They just can't seem to come up with new ideas anymore for movies. Don't get me wrong I like some of the remakes, most are shit though. They probably can't fuck this one up though.
