“Actions are the seed of fate deeds grow into destiny.”
Harry S Truman

It's funny how one little mistake can cause an entire universe to spiral in a completely different direction.

Everyone thought Lily and James Potter would have a happy ending. Their wedding was small, but beautiful nothingless, and they seemed perfectly happy despite the war raging around them. The news of a baby only brought more bright, glowing grins. Lily went out and bought as many toys as possible (deciding she'd hex them the correct color when they discovered their child's gender) and had the room all prepared. James was ecstatic, already dubbing Sirius as the godfather of his future child. But fate is cruel, and it seems that lately it has been feeding off of despair much like the dementors do. Whether it was cruelty, or simply a stitch in destiny, Lily woke up in the middle of the night with the bedsheets soaked in blood. James awoke to her screams, and quickly apparrated to St Mungos only to discover that his wife had a miscarriage.

“The willing, Destiny guides them; the unwilling, Destiny drags them”

Seneca

The lack of Harry Potter resulted in the world turning upside down. Now that the prophecy was a fraud, who was supposed to defeat Voldemort? His horcruxes were scattered around Europe...but no one was destined to destroy them. The fate of the Wizarding World became unknown, and those who were meant to die either haven't or simply won't. The Order and Ministry are slowly beginning to crumble beneath the evergrowing numbers of Death Eaters, and it appears as though darkness might finally swallow the world.

“It's choice--not chance--that determines your destiny.”
Jean Nidetch

It seems the only people who can stop this madness are those who belong to the Order, but with no prophecy to guide him, Dumbledore is at a loss. Voldemort's side grows more and more appealing, and this becomes evident as a trickling of Ministry members begin to inch towards his views. The protection between the muggle and magical worlds has completely dissapated, and there is no more use in hiding this war. It's everywhere.
