THE LOOKS
hair color : Black eye color : Blue height&weight : 5'8'', 135lbs played by : Alexis Bledel full appearance : Alice is one of those girls who is an intellectual beauty. Sadly she just doesn't know it. She has long straight black hair that is usually pulled back in a ponytail and out of her face. Her best feature is easily her eyes. They are a crystal clear blue fringed by dark lashes and naturally well arched eyebrows.
Her skin is pale and she rarely ever has any break outs. Alice never tans, she burns. If she goes to the beach without any sunscreen she will turn 8 shades of red and then it peels away to whiteness once more. Alice is rather clumsy and it is not unusual to see her with a random bruise or two on her arms or legs.
Alice is on the tall side, about 5'8'' inches tall and is very thin. Coming with being thin she lacks curves unfortunately, something she hopes she will eventually grow out of. Genetics are a hard thing to fight against though.
Usually Alice has a rather thoughtful expression on her face. She loves to daydream but in classes she refuses to get easily distracted. Alice is intelligent and makes good marks in her classes.
Sometimes when Alice is particularly nervous she can be seen twirling her hair and biting her lip. She knows twirling her hair is a horrid habit but without fail if her anxiety rises her hair begins to twirl around her fingers.
Her favorite feature is her smile. For a long time Alice was more of the quirky grin kind of girl. She smirked and gave small smiles, but it wasn't until she met got to her fifth year that she realized her tight, closed lip smile wasn't very genuine. When Alice laughs or smiles now, all her white, even teeth jump out from her face and are very easy to see. Her cheeks widen and her whole face changes with her real smile, something her mother would cringe to see, but Alice loves it.

Eleven year old Alice twirled her ring so fast on her finger it was a miracle it didn't fall off. Her finger, not the ring. The Hogwarts Express was almost back to London dropping off students who were returning home for the Christmas Holidays. Snow flurried outside of the train window as the city rushed by. It wasn't just that Alice was going home for the first time since she started Hogwarts, no that was only part of it. Alice would be returning home to meet her new sister for the first time. Lucy was born in November and was just reaching one month old and Alice had yet to lay eyes on her sister in person.
As the train screeched to a halt Alice jumped up and raced in to the hallway. She was one of the first students off of the train, scanning the platform for her family. As more and more studnets began to flood the platform Alice nervously bit her lip. Where were they?
"Alice? Over here darling!" Alice felt her heart leap as her mother's familiar voice rang across the crowd. There they were! Her father in his hat and overcoat, her mother in a lovely new coat as well with a bundle of blankets in her arms. Lucy.
Running over Alice was scooped up in to a huge hug by her father and she laughed as he spun her around. As her feet hit the ground Alice kissed her mother's soft cheek as she leaned down. Her attention was then drawn to the small baby in her mother's arms. A face was just visible, a black curl or two between to blue eyes so similar to her own.
"Would you like to hold her?" Alice nodded mutely as her mother transfered her sister in to her arms. Suddenly the platform, packed with students reuniting with their families, seemed to go quiet. Her father put his arm around her mother and the two beamed down at their daughters as Alice carefully rocked Lucy in her arms.
"Hello Lucy." she said softly as she nuzzled her sister's velvety soft cheek. "I'm your big sister Alice."
dream job : To be an Auror for the Ministry. overall personality :
Growing up Alice was extremely shy around new people. With those she was familiar with she had no problem, but put her in a crowd of strangers and she would turn as red as a ripe strawberry. Alice would to find herself rather tongue tied and often became very quiet around people she did not know. She typically would stare at the floor or at a person's shoulder, and nod along with conversations avoiding eye contact if she could help it.
Now that she is older, and for other reasons as well, Alice isn't as shy as she once was. After six years at school familiarity broke her shell a bit and some people began to get close with her. In the working world the same thing has happened. Now Alice teeters between shy and just quiet out of habit more than anything else. The person who really helped her break out of her shell and in to herself was Frank. Her friendship with him was important from the start.
Alice was a very serious student and still loves to read. Reading is an escape for her, she can bury herself in a book and be content for hours. Alice is pretty intelligent and made good marks in school. She was not on the standard of a Ravenclaw or anything, but she did well for herself.
Alice is a very easy going person. When she laughs her laugh is often contagious and sometimes causes others to laugh along with her mainly because she snorts when she gets really into it. Personally she hates that she snorts and tries to avoid doing so at all costs. Alice is not easily angered but once she gets there it is nearly impossible to bring her back from that state for quite some time. She will become at an extreme loss for words and stuttering with big hand gestures is very common.
Once she gets a hold of herself, then her wit becomes her strongest weapon and the words start flying. She can get snappish or huffy, but to really anger Alice takes a heck of a lot more. What really angers Alice? Usually people who play around with her, mind games annoy her to no end, and also people who lie. She can also be extremely sarcastic if she wants to, it just happens. Usually when she is tired or stressed her sarcastic streak really begins to shine through.
Alice is pretty inept when it comes to Herbology. For some reason the girl can't seem to grasp the concepts needed to be an ace in the subject. She mixes up all the plant names and properties, forgets the proper care techniques, and is really not all that fond of getting dirt caked in places it shouldn't be. There was also that incident in her third year with a Mandrake and a watering can that forced her to go to the hospital wing for about two weeks. Her saving grace in that was Frank naturally. He was a complete star in the subject and made sure she didn’t fail it completely. Without his help she would have most likely received many more Ts than she did.
On the other hand Alice is pretty talented in Potions. She loves being able to take many different ingredients and combine them to make a brand new property. Even though it is a wandless subject Alice is fascinated by it. Alice also loves Charms and has a knack for the class and seems to grasp the concepts quickly.
In a friend Alice looks for people who are honest and fun. She likes to be able to relax and have good conversations with people. As long as the person doesn't appear to be the type that is fake and "for show" then Alice is more than willing to try and befriend them.
Alice will speak her mind and is open and friendly to anyone who shares the respect to do the same for her. Not just her friends. If a person doesn't care to do that than Alice just shrugs it off and doesn't let it get to her. Sometimes Alice trusts people too easily which sets herself up for disappointment but she has learned more over the years to depend on herself. It is easier to be self reliant than to depend on another person to do things for her.
As a pureblood some people expect Alice to look down upon half bloods and muggleborns, but really Alice can't seem to make herself do that. She doesn't believe a bloodline is a good enough reason to not like someone. A person can't control their lineage no matter how much they would like to be able to do so.
She hates liars and being lied to and would rather hear a harsh truth then have something sugar coated. Sometimes Alice tends to over think situations and send her brain into overdrive, but otherwise she tries to keep her mind open and accepting.
And most people don't realize she is deathly afraid of thunderstorms. Why? She tries her best to hide it. To her thunderstorms seems like a childish thing to be afraid of, like the dark, so she does her best to make sure no one finds out. But she really is terrified I tell you.
Bloody terrified.
Aside from that Alice is also very ticklish. One poke in the ribs and she can jump a good foot in the air. It is a terrible fault, being ticklish, as those who know her know that even the threat of tickling is a perfect way to get information from her.
THE BEGINNING
ethnicity : British and German hometown : Warwick England mother and father : Jonathan Logan and Aleksandra Vader Logan
Father's background: Alice's father Jonathan is a pureblood wizard who was born and raised in England. He attended Hogwarts and was a Ravenclaw back in the day. Upon graduation her began work for the Ministry as a hit wizard. Once the dark times started Jonathan became extremely secretive about his career. Each day becomes more and more of a challenge, but Alice admires his courage and wanted to be an Auror thanks to him.
Mother's Background: Aleksandra, Alice's mother is a pureblooded witch from Germany. She attended Durmstrang and moved to England when she graduated to work in the Ministry. She met her husband in the same department they both worked in and fell in love. Obviously. Aleksandra is slightly colder than Jonathan, she has mellowed over the years but Aleksandra has kept some of her pureblood ideals and tried to pass them down to Alice.
brothers and sisters : Lucy Eileen Logan- Sister, age 9 Everyone calls Lucy a mini-Alice. The two are so much alike, with their long brown hair and the exact same smile most people say Lucy looked exactly like Alice at that age. Lucy has big blue eyes like her mother and loves the outdoors as much as Alice and her father. She is just getting old enough to start tagging along on some of their excursions recently. Usually she clings to Alice when she visits home, helping her with little chores like cooking dinner and tidying up.
George Mattieu Logan- Brother, age 6 As much as Lucy is like Alice George is like their father. He has his messy crop of blonde hair and bright brown eyes. Alice is very protective of her little brother, he is quite the charmer and a bit of a trouble maker, but he constantly keeps her laughing.
other relatives : Pureblood connections, but nothing important. overall history : As mentioned before Jonathan and Aleksandra Logan met working in the Ministry of Magic. Alice was born a year after they were first married, on an uncharacteristically warm April 1st 17 years ago. Alice was a very good, happy baby, very easy to care for. She was content to play quietly for hours in her playpen or to have her mother read to her. Overall she was a dream for a first child and her parents were keen to have another one soon. But for some reason Aleksandra couldn't get pregnant again. They tried for years but to no avail and the Logans had begun to accept the fact that Alice would be an only child.
She then got her Hogwarts letter at age eleven and her family was overjoyed. The Logans happily shopped for school supplies for young Alice and sent her off, tearfully, for the next step of her life. It was less than a month later that Aleksandra realized she was pregnant. Alice became a big sister while she was away at Hogwarts, and once again in her third year. Coming home each holiday became something Alice looked forward to the most as she loved spending time with her new siblings.
Alice was sorted into Gryffindor and happily adjusted to life at school. She excelled in Potions and Transfiguration and had a little more trouble in Astronomy and Herbology. Alice loves her Herbology class, but she tends to make small, bumbling errors that completely ruin her plants more often than not.
Friendswise Alice had plenty in her house and also in Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. A few Slytherins tried to befriend her in her first year, recognizing her last name, but once they realized she didn't care about blood or muggleborns or the differences most of them stopped trying to be her friend.
Her best friend is definitely Frank Longbottom. The two have known one another for ages and Alice is beginning to fear her feelings run further than friendship. After all Frank is helping pass Herbology! Without him she'd have a bonafide T in the class. Alice is terrified to ruin things with Frank but how long can she go on pretending to feel nothing for him?
THE PUPETEER

Alice was an acute sufferer of cabin fever. If the girl spent more than five hours indoors she got antsy. This fact came about entirely thanks to her father. He loved being out of doors and ever since Alice was old enough to walk she had been dragged along on expiditions with him. The two were habitual runners in their neighborhood. They would hike on the weekends or go on bike rides or other outdoorsy things that made most of Alice's girl friends cringe with horror. Her father taught her to ride a broomstick at five, play Quidditch at nine, and made sure Alice was a very well rounded individual, at least when it came to athletics.
Because of this though Alice now had to be outdoors a lot more than the average person. The seventeen year old was ok with that though. She was the crazy Gryffindor who would jog around the lake before breakfast or borrow a school broom just to fly around aimlessly. That was who she was at this point, too late to change it really.
Alice had been outside for about an hour now. The cold Scottish wind had turned her pale skin into a nice rosy shade, her nose, cheeks, and ears in particular, and her hair was sporting the ever popular windblown look. But Alice didn't mind. She was never huge on appearances. Don't get the girl wrong, she was always neat and clean, but she wasn't a freak about it. Right now her brown curls were blown all over the place and static charged thanks to her wool scarf. Her cloak was keeping her decently warm, but her long skirt and cardigan did little to keep out the cold on its own. Her shoes and stockings were still relatively dry and she wasn't freezing...yet.
Walking along the edge of the lake Alice whistled a bit to herself. Hogwarts had been so hectic the past few weeks that the walk was purely to clear her head. Kicking a pebble with her shoe the Gryffindor watched it roll into the rippling waves of the lake. The sky was getting dark again. Night was fast approaching.
After walking a bit longer it began to get late and the temperature started to drop. Staring into the moving surface of the lake Alice could see the clouds starting to roll and churn in on themselvs, threatening to burst forth at any moment. The wind picked up sending her hair flying from her face and her cloak blown wide open behind her. Then without warning the sky opened up and buckets upon buckets of rain began to pour. Not just any rain drops mind you, the really big ones that when they hit you tend to spread out three times the amount of water than usual and kind of sting a bit.
Normally Alice didn't mind the rain, she loved to go running in the rain norally, but she was not dressed for it at the moment. Her hands were turning red and chapped with the mix of wind and water and she hastily drew them into her sweater sleeves in attempt to keep them semi warm. The castle was too far away. If she walked she would be better off swimming, if she ran she'd most likely fall and get a faceful of mud and grass. But she'd have to risk it.
Alice began to run. Her feet slid on the wet grass and the win blew and sliced right through her. The weather had been pleasant all day but now that night was settling it was getting nasty. Falling forward Alice cursed as her entire front smeared with rain, grass, and mud. Just great. Picking herself up with some difficulty she shivered and then jumped as a great roll of thunder burst from the clouds followed by a jagged shoot of lightening. Alice hated thunderstorms.
Running at full speed now Alice didn't stop until she reached the giant doors of Hogwarts. Thunder roared and lightening struck making Alice's heart jump in her throat. Even in her terror Alice realized she was absolutely filthy, she needed to get cleaned up before hiding under her bed for the rest of the night.
Heading up to the Prefect's bathroom Alice jumped with every thunder boom that rattled the deserted halls of the castle. Where was everyone!? As she reached the bathroom and gave the password she immediately stripped off her tie and began to unbutton her shirt when she heard a voice. Someone was already in there!
Her cheeks flaming six shades of red Alice froze and stared very hard at the wall. "I'm so sorry. I'll leave." she said hastily, still frozen in place dripping mud with her shirt half undone.
