catholic school boys are all
boiling blood and bedroom eyes.

Whenever people hear I attend a private boys’ school up in Massachusetts, I get one of two reactions: they’re either extremely impressed, or extremely disgusted. Because, to be honest, there are really only two types of boys that attend a private boys’ academy – the ones who follow the rules and stay in their own beds at night, and the ones who break the rules and have detention every afternoon for waking up in their unassigned dormitory. It’s really quite a bit like life in that aspect, with the followers and the leaders, though I assure you, Carving Academy for Boys is nothing at all like the real world.

In the real world, there are unwritten rules that are expected to be followed in order to be socially accepted. But there’s no room for morality when you eat, sleep, and play with three hundred boys every day; you can't squeeze ethics in between two young, sweaty bodies. There are no visits to grandmother’s house to set you straight, no girlfriends to fool around with; it’s just you and him, sharing everything— pens, answers, sheets, saliva, secrets. That’s Carving Academy; nothing beyond our walls matter – the rules of the outside world don’t apply.

They try to sell us off like we’re well-behaved young men, chivalry epitomized. That’s why parents send us here, after all – because Carving Academy is the best, and they all want the best for their little boys. A good education, good manners, good futures. Too bad they don’t know the only worthwhile thing we learn here is how to give a good lay.

Regardless of the school’s reputation, the boys of Carving Academy are anything but pure. Well, I shouldn't generalize; some of us still have values, some of us don't take advantage of sleeping with four boys every night, some of us behave ourselves... though I assure you that most of us definitely do not. Private school may be full of rules, but it's also full of students who know how to break them.
