Dear Diary,

Once again it's a new year to start over, make new friends, and reinvent myself. It's time to make a change and become more independent. It's time for me to come out behind my mask. Not that I'm really wearing one, I tend to express my emotions freely.

But, it's not working out so well yet. I've reverted back to my old self which is something that I don't really enjoy.

Sirius Black. For the first time in my life he has entered into the dark depths of my diary. I planned on keeping him out forever and not including him in my personal life, but that hasn't seemed to work. Black did the unthinkable. He gave me a rose right out of the blue. It was something I had never expected. God, he just wants to get me in bed and couldn't care less about my feelings. But why does my mind keep thinking about him?! I just wish he would go away and leave me be. All he does is complicate situations.

Now, about James Potter. He's been talked about here before. I honestly don't know what to say about him, but... Ah, nevermind it's not important. He's still an arrogant bully that I can't help but hate. But there's always that huge 'but'. UGH!

I'll try to write later when my thoughts are more straightened out. Now hopefully no one will pick this diary up and read it..

It's not wise to leave such things lying about in the common room, Evans. Never knew you to be forgetful. But that's not the point here. Sirius gave you a rose?

So what if he did Potter. Do you have a problem with that? You know other guys might just happen to like me....

Not that I'd ever even think of going out with Sirius.
