Title: when someone says forbidden, I go
Description: tag Teddy

Andromeda Black - September 29, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Andromeda climbed the staircase slowly, so she wouldn't make a sound and alert Filch to her presence. She didn't much care if she got caught, her parents would care. It seemed lately that Andromeda didn't much care for anything anymore. All she wanted was to heal the rift between her and her sisters, but she knew very well that would never happen unless she quit being a nice and social person.

Andromeda's hand lay on the doorknob as she heard creaking sound that wasn't of her own doing. She twisted the doorknob anyways, gently and stepped in. The rom was a bit dusty, but not that much, though it could do with a bit of cleaning. She didn't bother to close the door behind her.

Andromeda looked out the large window, her eyes gazing over the grounds. She had seem them before through the Ravenclaw tower, but never had she seen it through this window which was higher up. She avoided looking down for the fear of fealing dizzy and her hands slipping off.

Andromeda gazed at the sky, sighing. Oh how she missed her sisters so much, but she knew very well they didn't miss her. Most of her family didn't. Bellatrix was almost close to hexing her to death, literally, the last time they had a conversation that included more than ten words. Her life during summer was a complete living hell. her parents avoided her, Bellatrix nearly killed her, and Narcissa fussing at her. No wonder Sirius left. She could imagine what Aunt Walburga did to him every summer. Adromeda considered herself lucky to have landed in Ravenclaw and not Hufflepuff, not that she had anything against them.

Theodore Nott - September 29, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
Theodore Nott had been painting for a large portion of the day. He still wasn’t sure what the painting was to depict, but that didn’t mean so much to him. All that mattered was that he was painting, he had been doing so all day, and thankfully he hadn’t been interrupted. The Room of Requirement held the appearance of four blank white walls, a drop cloth covered the floor, a heap of tubes filled with paint and a blonde boy with a brush in his hand. The innocent feeling that he was experiencing made a smile spring onto his sharp features. Usually Teddy’s expression held a melancholy look, but in this moment, he allowed himself to express every emotion that was inside of him. He never wanted this moment to end. But all good things had to come to an end; he knew this when he heard a rock hit the window. Surely someone knew he was in here, nobody could hurl a rock to the seventh floor with such accuracy unless they had a purpose for doing so. He dropped his brush and pallet reluctantly but without a second thought, Teddy had to go somewhere unless he wanted his entire house and his Father to find out about his paintings. Yeah, he really didn’t feel like being ridiculed at the moment.

Hastily, he whipped his hands on his already paint stained jeans and made a dash for the door. He wrenched it open and continued to bolt down the corridor, not caring if anyone saw him and thought that he was mad, but then he remembered the time. It was close to dinnertime, nobody was going to see him anyway. Most of the students were either on their way to the Great Hall or they were already there. But it seemed that Teddy couldn’t stop his legs from moving. He grabbed the first door knob he saw and pushed himself into wherever the door led to. Now, that wasn’t such a good idea, you see, at Hogwarts anything could be behind any door. Hell, you could even encounter a three-headed dog! Teddy shook his head at that thought; even in the magical world three headed dogs didn’t exist. What would their owners name them anyway, Fluffy? Ha, that was a laugh.

Thankfully, the snake was not greeting a beast behind door number one, it seemed that he was staring blankly at a staircase. A very old, forgotten looking staircase. He began to climb the stairs, dust entering the air with every step that he took; how long had it been since someone used these stairs? Perhaps this was the stairs that led to some Professors’ office? That would probably explain the footsteps that had already left their mark on the dust that covered the entire stairwell. Well, if that were the case he could always claim that he had a question or something instead of saying that he had gotten lost. Please, what seventh year got lost anyway? Not many. But what if these stairs led to something far worse than a Professor’s office? And what if they didn’t lead to anywhere at all? Yeah, what if Teddy opened the door ahead of him, took a step, and fell to his death? Well, he didn’t think that the founders were that mean when they built the castle. But then there was always the founder of his house, from what Teddy heard, Salazar Slytherin had his cruel moments.

He pushed those thoughts from his mind and opened the door. He smiled, it was just a dusty tower. But it seemed that he wasn’t alone. No, standing out on the balcony was a brunette girl. He smoothed out his blue cotton tee shirt self-consciously; it really was his luck to be in the presence of a female when he looked awful. Should he introduce himself? Teddy really was terrible with situations like this. He really, really was. She was standing rather close to the edge and he didn’t want to startle her. So he just stood there dumbfounded and unsure of what to do. The wind gusted, throwing dust from around the room into the air and up Teddy’s nose. He coughed once, then sneezed; surely that had gotten the girl’s attention. Hopefully it didn’t startle her though. Teddy really didn’t want to be involved with an accident in the tower, which was coincidentally, forbidden.

Andromeda signed again, and looked her hands which still bore the marks that Bellatrix's nails had left. God, how they hurt. She could see why her sister had kept them long. They could have been used as a weapon. The thought made her chuckle silently, casting a small smile on her face. The sun, oddly, was starting to shine brighter. That ment today was going to get better, hopefully.

Then she heard footsteps. Andromeda froze. Who would ever bother coming up here, besides Andromeda, of course? She prayed it wasn't her sisters. She wasn't much ready to be yelled at and dangled out the window where she would be dropped. Though part of Andromeda told that it wasn't them because it was only the sound of one person. That was a reassurence, though not much of one. So instead, she contiuned facing out the window.

When she heard the door open, Andromeda cringed slightly. Then the unexpected sound of a sneeze and a cough came, nearly make her jump. Andromeda turned around, knowing full well that it wasn't Filch, unless of course he had gotten hold of a potion that did miracles, and that it wasn't her sisters. Instead, it was a boy she reconized from Slytherin. Andromeda had only seen him a few times, but never actually knew who he was.

'Hello there," Andromeda, smiling........abit.

His eyes closed in anticipation; what was the girls reaction going to be? Hopefully she wouldn’t flip out and strike him, too many times had a female smacked him in the face, even though more than half the time he hadn’t deserved it. Okay, there was a few times that he had hurt someone’s feelings unintentionally, but half of the incidents were huge misunderstandings. Even though he would act like it hadn’t hurt, he usually ended up having a handprint on his face for a few days and a sour outlook for the rest of the week. I guess the emotional pain was always worse than the physical pain. Yes, he would much rather get beaten up rather than insulted. Bruises will heal; words can burn for days. He honestly tried to avoid conflict at all costs. He surely could handle himself if the occasion arose, Quidditch built more than character you know, but he honestly didn’t want any enemies. He thought he was nice enough to his peers to gain some good friendships. Of course, if you mess with someone on the Quidditch team, you’re messing with the whole team. It was kind of an unspoken rule. After spending so many hours with a group of boys, they seem like brothers. Not that Teddy would speak this aloud; he’d probably be called a pansy for the rest of his life.

Teddy contemplated leaving, it was rather rude to intrude on someone unannounced, but then she greeted him. His blue eyes gazed at her quickly thankfully she was smiling. Her smile looked forced, like she was doing it just to be polite while her mind was elsewhere. Well, that had happened to Teddy all last year, so he could understand where the girl was coming from. Also, he knew better than to pester her, especially when this was his first time meeting her. He smiled back, the energy that he had from when he was painting returning and snapping him out of his little dumbfounded trance. ”Hello.” He gave her a friendly smile and took a few steps into the room, making a friendly non-threatening distance, but letting her know that he was, in fact, going to converse with her. ”Sorry for intruding like this, I was… in a bit of a rush and this was the first door I opened.” He explained himself and took a step onto the balcony, the view was quite immaculate, something that you didn’t see everyday.

He could almost hear his mother scolding him for not introducing himself immediately, but I guess Teddy had forgotten his manners in his brief moment of shock. He closed his eyes, now he was going to sound strange, but he figured she had to know his name sooner or later. ”I’m Teddy.” He opened his eyes laughing, giving the girl next to him another smile; whoa, he was in a good mood! But then again, he had been painting so that was kind of self-explanatory. If only Teddy could bottle certain emotions and save them for another time. Well, he probably could if he looked up a potion or a charm for such a thing, but that would require going to the library, something the boy rarely did. He turned again, facing the room and taking in his surroundings. It was such a random place; there was nothing in the tower, and what was the use of an empty room?

”What is this place anyway?” There he went again, thinking aloud. Thankfully it sounded like a question that he could’ve asked the brunette instead of something utterly random and stupid.

"Hello. Sorry for intruding like this, I was… in a bit of a rush and this was the first door I opened.”

Andromeda merely chuckled. "Oh, that's okay. I don't mind." Andromeda said, still smiling, though she looked a bit more relaxed. She wasn't forcing the poor smile on her face anymore. It felt good or better to have someone to talk too, instead of being alone like she previously was. "Trust me, I've had those type or times........alot." No lie about that, though she was hiding from her sisters when she was younger playing hide and go seek. Very odd. ”I’m Teddy.” "Well, hello Teddy, I'm Andromeda." Okay, so u she didn't allow people to call her anything else but Andromeda, that of which was the only thing she had in commen with her sisters.

”What is this place anyway?”

Andromeda finally stepped away from the window. "This, i believe is the forbidden tower." Andromeda answered, looking at the ceiling, taking notice the cobwebs and spiders hanging above her. It made her skin crawl so she looked back towards Teddy.

Her smile seemed to come more naturally now that Teddy had introduced himself and they had actually started talking. She had a nice fake smile, but an even nicer natural smile. The fact that she had also been in those sticky situations where things can get really awkward was somewhat comforting to Teddy. I mean, it really sucks when you walk in on someone who is in a pissed off mood or crying or something. He could recall one particular time when he had walked in on a fourth year Hufflepuff who was crying. Teddy had felt bad and tried to comfort the girl, but his methods of comforting involved putting an arm around the girl. Apparently she had gotten the wrong idea and kissed him. Now, let's just say that Teddy was creeped out for days. But that little event didn't stay under wraps. No, the girl bragged that he had come onto her when he honestly didn't. Oh yes, Teddy got so much shxt for that little lie.

"Andromeda." Teddy smiled, "That's a pretty name." It was rather ironic that Theodore had only met one of the Black's as a child, and that was Bellatrix. You see, once upon a time there was talk of betrothing Bellatrix to Theodore, but that never really went anywhere. There was no reason that the talks stopped, they just did. Perhaps Vincent and Daphne forgot. Or maybe they were too ashamed of their son now to even mention his name to other Death Eaters? Whatever their parents reason was, they just stopped bringing Teddy places with them, except for a Christmas party that happened last year. Yeah, Teddy was forced to go to that and ask half the girls in the room to dance. Oh boy, that was complete torture. Especially when some piggish looking girl held onto him for three songs straight.

Yes, his parents had made many futile attempts to get Teddy to 'fall in love' with some pureblood wench, marry her, and produce several pureblooded children. But that was almost every Death Eater's wish for their son or daughter. But Mr. and Mrs. Nott had given up on their boy, they figured he'd find love in the right places eventually... or they'd have to disown him. Yes, that was always a wonderful option; wasn't it? Little did either of them know that if they disowned Teddy, he'd probably die from shame and depression. So maybe he would marry off anyway, just to please mummy and daddy.

"Er," He stammered, taking cautious looks around the room. "If it's forbidden, do you think we should be up here?" He continued to explain himself to make his worries sound legitimate when really he just didn't want to get in trouble. "I mean, it could be dangerous, right?"
