Title: Professor Nicholas Albino
Description: THE HEADMASTER.

Katie. - September 21, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
Name: Nicholas Albino

Age&Year: 45, Headmaster

Appearance: Mr. Albino is a tall man, standing at six foot two. He has a slim build, but from his prior two years as Headmaster, he has packed on a few pounds. He has dark hair that is rapidly greying from all the stress. On his face, he has a long, straight nose that projects 'no-nonsense' from the first minute you meet him. His lips are set in a firm line, and even though his face is virtually smooth and wrinkleless, he has a bit of stubble.

You can usually see him wearing a suit. His favourite is a dark blue one with a bit of plaid and a red tie, but he often mixes and matches when something is dirty.

Personality: Mr. Albino has good intentions, but he is hopelessly naive. When promoted to Headmaster, he had only been a teacher at Trenton for a few years in the science department. The school puzzled him greatly. Now that he is headmaster, he exerts his power over the staff and school in a very big way. He will make an effort to talk to students, because he wants to get to know them, and same goes for the staff at Trenton. Deep down, he really cares about the school, but it might seem like he is only concerned with discipline. He rules with an iron fist.

He is very stubborn and has a tendancy to be very closed-minded. When it comes to the ghosts plaguing Trenton, this causes a major problem. He refuses to accept that there are actually supernatural beings haunting the castle, even when students have been injured because of it. His overconfidence is one of his worst traits, and he thinks that he is doing a great job. He is constantly on the case of some of the biggest troublemakers at school, and really doesn't want them to prove him wrong.

The staff respect him, and some even fear him. He can come off as cold and menacing, but he doesn't realize that he is feared instead of admired. One could assume that because he is so closed-minded and stubborn that he is in fact slightly boring; and you would assume right. His life has been dull and grey, he doesn't long for adventure, and things are just 'normal', per se, for him. He just can't believe in the supernatural. His logical mind can't put it together.

History: Nicholas was born in London, England, and had a relatively uneventful childhood. The young boy was on good terms with his parents, was an only child of a wealthy family, and had very little to worry about. He attended an all-boys boarding school for his high school years, and graduated at the top of his class. Once he graduated, he didn't know what to do with himself. Some of his friends travelled the globe, but he stayed put and went to university in Cambridge. He studied the sciences, and pulled top grades, but he never found much joy in it.

Again, he graduated top of his class, and was entered into a firm that conducted research on the best types of microscopes. He did that for fifteen years, and every day was almost the same. He would get up, brush his teeth for two minutes, shave, dress, eat breakfast, go to work, go home, read the newspaper, go to sleep. It wasn't much of an existence, but he didn't mind the monotonous routine.

Five years ago, however, Mr. Albino's company shut down due to lack of interest. The current headmaster was referred to Trenton Academy, as they needed a new Biology teacher. The old one had retired due to a reclining hairline and general stress. So he came to Trenton, and his routine life was turned quite upside- down. He found the school to be very strange. The vast majority of students were bright, and the teenagers were quite an eclectic mix of characters. He had never met so many kids with so many problems.

Three school years after he was hired by the school, the Headmaster abruptly left three days before the start of term. No one knew where he went, and no one has heard anything since, but they had to find a new head of school and fast. Professor Albino was the natural choice, and the fact that they had a new intern who was rather brilliant at biology was good because they could cover his classes. So Nicholas was thrown into the role of Headmaster at Trenton. Strange things started occuring, though. A student died at a school dance, and although the majority of the students were convinced it was a ghost's doing, Albino remained true to the thought that he had simply dropped dead.

Many things happened of a very strange nature, and hard as he tries to keep reassuring himself that there is no such thing as ghosts, the undeniable truth is getting closer everyday.

Other: He has a fluffy green nightrobe and hates being woken up in the middle of the night because he would be seen in it.
