Power: Light Manipulation SHINING OH SO BRIGHTLYPersonality Traits: Sorrow: While the girl does not come off as someone who is sad, she smiles most of the time in fact, she has not had an easy life prior to Aura Academy. Some may say that she lived a gilded life by looking at her and her wealthy belongings, but they are sorely mistaken. However, because her intelligence tells her that she’d be less noticeable if she acted like the average teen, she puts up a façade of happiness and more often than not she is smiling. The sorrow is there, in her eyes sometimes, but more often than not it is hardly visible.
Dependable: While not the top of her class, at least not to anyone else’s knowledge, if you ever need notes, head to Piper. If you’re sick, call her and she’ll nurse you. Some people who she does have an acquaintance with have nicknamed her ‘Mommy-Piper’ because she is so dependable.
Vain: Not being one to want to stand out, it is interesting to discover that Pip Fuller is extremely vain. Her hair, outfit, and make-up must always be perfect. Her handwriting must be the neatest there is. She always thinks ahead before she speaks and never does she let people see her acting idiotically. She fears two things in the world above everything else and one of them is complete, irrevocable embarrassment.
Intelligent: Although Piper is intelligent, most people don’t think so. They think that she’s just a gossip who is always talking about unimportant things. How wrong they are. She is smart and because she doesn’t really wanted to be noticed by people in general because of her distrust, she just sits quietly in classes, getting rather high grades yet not causing anyone else any competition, at least not intentionally. Because she keeps to herself so much, nobody spends enough time with her to see that she really is intelligent, other than her brother.
Loyalty: Piper does not come of as a loyal person. But if you look towards her relationship with her brother, you will see one of the most aloof persons in the world attached to someone other than herself. She will never let any harm come to him, even if he is older than she is, simply for the fact that she is a loyal person. However, if you hurt her you will never regain her loyalty. Not that this is a problem, since her brother is the only one at this time with whom she feels any loyalty towards.
Secretive: Nobody can get close to Pip. Even though she knows that people who are like her surround her, she just cannot get close to them. She keeps a distance at all times. It may be lonely, but there is some wall up between her and the world. Her brother occasionally breaks it, but the bond between them is not one that she can tell him everything. They are close, but not to that extent.
General Personality: A generally nice person, Piper Fuller is just that. When people think of her, they think ‘oh, she’s nice.’ They don’t know much about her, because she does not want them to know much about her. She has lost pretty much lost her faith in the human race on a whole. It’s probably a bad thing, but if you were locked inside for a month with the tale being told to the world that you had mono and laryngitis which made you too weak to even type or talk on the phone and you only saw your mother, father, and brother, the former two who hardly wanted to look at you, you would lose faith in people as well. She’s friendly with people but nobody would really say that they are friends of Pip Fuller. Just like every other girl, Pip loves boys. It’s probably a bad thing, but she is boy crazy in her own little mind. She never says that a guy is hot, but she is thinking it. But she’ll never let on to this fact. If a guy would approach her it would take some time for her to trust him enough to befriend him, but once she trusted him in the least, she would not be against being asked out. She is actually obsessed with romance novels, thinking that at least they can be trusted because they always end the same way.
She’s naturally intelligent, although she does have to study a bit, but most people don’t seem to notice this. She never seems overly intelligent. If she really had to be defined, she’d just be the nice pretty girl. Extremely pretty in fact. Pip knows that she’s pretty and because of this, she’s extremely vain. Nothing else but that could be expected from someone whose mother ran New York City society, however. But her vanity actually is quite amusing. It’s a quiet vanity. Most people don’t even realize it. They just see her and think that she looks put together. They don’t see how long she spends in front of her mirror every day. She has to look perfect or else she is not pleased.
When it comes to friends, there’s only one thing to say. Pip doesn’t really have them. She’s friendly with people, sure, but she doesn’t necessarily have friends. That doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for her to have friends, but it’s highly unlikely. Perhaps some of the people who come to her for help will become friends with her in the future, but unless they see past her façade, they can never be true friends.

FLITTING JUST LIKE FIREFLIES
Height & Weight: 5’1, 103 lbs.
Piercings/Tattoos: Just one in each ear.
Picture:
Appearance: Piper Fuller is as blond as it comes and feminine to boot. She may not be the most curvaceous girl out there, but there is little doubt that she is a woman. Pip’s long hair, like so many others, is a shade of blond that is similar to neither platinum nor gold, but middling and she wears it in many different ways, more often than not straight or slightly waved but she generally does not pull it back into a ponytail except for sports. When she does pull her hair up, she either leaves the majority of it tied down or puts it into a bun.
Pip is most definitely the stereotypical blond; she even has matching blue eyes, although they’re a bit more rather than blue. Beside the left one, she has a small scar from when she was a child and had chicken pox. Nothing about her features would make her drop-dead gorgeous, although she is a rather lovely specimen of the female gender. She doesn’t have high cheekbones or overly
luscious lips, or anything that makes her overtly gorgeous. She tends to always have some small smile on her lips, but as they say, the eyes are the window to the mind and if one looks closely, extremely closely and not just for a moment or two, but for a week or two, they would discover that there is some sorrow in the girl’s eyes.
Piper stands around 5’1, a rather short height, downright petite in fact but she doesn’t seem to mind. She just takes it as it is. After all, she’s not quite that short… She’s just a little bit less than the average girl her age. And since when was average interesting?
SHOWING THE WAY TO HEAVEN
Family Members: Daniel Fuller, 44, Father, Real Estate Mogul
Maria Fuller, 38, Mother, Socialite
_____ Fuller, 16, Brother, Student
Pet(s):
Financial Status: Extremely wealthy. As in Daniel Fuller is in competition with Donald Trump for taking over New York. He just isn’t as loud about is The Donald.
History:A charmed life. That was what the two Fuller children were born into, not that anyone would ever know it now. They had fame and fortune since birth, both of which were announced in half page ads in the New York Time Society Section. These two actually had the literal golden spoon in their mouth from birth. Baby clothes straight from the runway generally became children’s clothes only from Barney’s and Saks. The two went to the most prestigious preparatory schools on the island of Manhattan. They lived in a two floor apartment, as did all of their friends. Their parents rarely saw them, but that was only natural, right? They did love them then, in their way, of course. They just didn’t mind leaving them with an army of nannies.
But this life ended when weird things started to happen around the two children. They both kept it secret from one another and only found out because of a horrendous occasion. Pip remembered the day when she first produced a beam of light from her hand to radiate her bedroom in the middle of a black out. She had been scared that the entire island had no light and everyone was in separate wings of the apartment, with several hundreds of candles lighting the way. But no amount of candles could calm a little seventh grader who was completely unnerved by not hearing the sound of anything. The City was never silent and that unsettled her more than anything else. And when the light came, it was welcome. She didn’t wonder about it until a week or so later. When during a recess her friend had approached her from behind, startling her. The girl immediately started crying that she had looked at the sun for too long and couldn’t see for a half hour. The sun had done nothing. It had been Piper. Her hand had shot out behind her and a orb of light had shot from it.
And at that point, she was flipping out. She could create light and blind people with a flick of her wrist. She was scared. If she told her mother this, she would send her to doctors and doctors were not on Pip’s list of favorite people. So she tried to keep her odd ability to herself. And she did. Until she was in eighth grade and her freshman brother saw her walk into her room and then when he followed her in she was gone. And then she reappeared, lying asleep on her bed.
Two days later, letters from Aura Academy arrived, inviting the two to Aura for their peculiar abilities. Pip was ecstatic. Others were there! But her parents refused. Their children weren’t attending some new school. They were purebreds. But desperately wanting to go, Pip did something that she would forever remember. She produced an orb of light in her hand. Her parents had a shit fit, to put it politely. Their daughter was a monster. She couldn’t be allowed to go anywhere, let alone abroad to a school. She was barred to the apartment and unable to contact anyone. Doctor’s looked at her all the time but she refused to use her power and they proclaimed that nothing was wrong with her. Her parent’s did not relent, however. Her brother brought her magazines and books from outside and she sent requests via him for clothes and other belongings. But even though she had the perks of her normal life, she was scarred forever. How could they treat her this way? She was in a golden cage, but caged nonetheless.
But then her brother convinced her parents that she simply had to go to Fashion Week. He would accompany her and make sure nothing was wrong. They could accompany her too, if they so desired. At this point, Pip still was unsure of why her brother was invited to Aura. But then, at Fashion Week, he asked his mother if he could get something to drink with his sister. And then they got lost in the crowd. Literally. Pip took her brother’s hand and the two ran until they weren’t in familiar ground. The two then got away, using her brother’s debit card to get several thousand dollars from an account. They then made their way to Aura. Once there, they contacted their parents, saying they need not worry about them but that they would never be a problem to them again. That was precisely what the Fuller’s wanted. They sent their children trunks of new clothes and furniture as well as countless numbers of credit cards. They were back on top of the world after having to suffer for some time with a measly five thousand dollars. But they were changed forever, Piper especially. Once she had been a girl who often told jokes and was generally a good entertainer and didn’t realize just how fortunate she was. Now she’s a girl afraid of trusting anyone save her brother who laughs all the time to hide this fear and does not let anyone see just how she truly is. OH, AND FOR JUST YOU AND I

Damn! Couldn't he sit still just for a moment or two? Miya wanted to moan out loud. Was his goal to disrupt her scene not once but twice? She had managed to get his face down pretty well, however, she thought as she looked down at the picture. Not perfect, but perfection wasn't her goal. Her goal was to capture the image of a moment without a camera. And she thought she had caught him. He looked serious, but there was an air of cockiness around him that she thought she had captured rather well.
She couldn't help but watch as he walked through the cafe, and she couldn't help but notice the fact that most every other patron in the store watched as well, thinking that he didn't seem to mind, or even notice, very much. Is that what it's like to be looked at by everyone? It's so banal now that you don't even notice? she wondered, a hint of resentment and jealousy spewing in her mind. Resentment at herself that she made herself become with the wall at most social situations and jealousy that he had the nonchalance that she always wished she had. But no... Miya was one of the most awkward and self-conscious people ever. Never mind the fact that people told her she was beautiful; she wasn't loud or hyper like other girls in her school who could talk to everyone without thinking of what to say. Words didn't generally flow properly from Miya. Her younger sister, who Miya believed to be a prodigy, said that it was because she was more comfortable around books and colored pencils than around people. She was probably right.
But when Miya's emerald eyes met his ice-blue ones, she felt something come over her. Was it wariness that he had singled her out in the crowd? Or was it something else? Perhaps delight at the fact that he had singled her out? How was she to know? Delight rarely occurred to her. She wasn't depressed or anything. But truly, when does something ever delight someone? People are happy for a moment, but it's fleeting. Delight is a rare emotion indeed. And then their link broke as he left the shop and the bells rang behind him.
Miya sighed and closed up her sketchbook, slipping it back within her back and throwing the pencil nonchalantly into the bottom where several other writing utensils laid. She still had some coffee left, so she picked up her cup and started to head towards the door. However, something caused her to look back at the seat where the man had been sitting and when she did, she frowned. He had left his wallet? She walked over to it, picked it up, then quickly walked out of the door, looking in all directions for the gorgeous specimen. And then she saw him, walking in the direction opposite her path, but she didn't care. She ran after him. |
[size=0]((Sorry that this is so sucky. If you want more, just let me know. I had so little time, but I wanted to get this done today.))
You cannot be able to turn invisible, since that is a whole other power. Please choose between invisibility and light manipulation.
Alright, I picked. Sorry about that. I've seen it on television shows where someone could manipulate the light around them so they weren't visible so I thought it may be alright. Picked light manipulation.
