Fragile: The smallest things could hurt Rei, may it be mentally or phisically. Often compared to a porcelin doll, and if dropped, would break into a million pieces.
Shy: Always a bit frightened of going into new environments. Without the watchful eye of a comrade, she is a complete coward.
Outgoing: Though it may seem impossible, like it goes against all the laws of life, she can be outgoing. Once you get to know her, she is practically the most outgoing person ever. This side of her she shows around friends, and meeting new people with friends.
Cute: She is often happy and go-lucky, and often seems a little dumb at times... Daydreaming and walking into wall, forgeting things she said two minutes ago, things like that.

General Personality: To describe Rei, one could say she is like a doll. A porcelin doll made of fragile material and never showing the fluff which makes up its entire being. You drop the doll, it will break almost positively... its like fate is known to all . Everyone knows it, but no one will dare to do it, because that will ruin the doll, right? And, likewise, the fragile doll is easily broken - as Rei is easily influenced in emotion by different issues outside her control, as a doll is controlled, too. A doll is just a doll, and the owner will always, grow up and move on.
She is rather shy - until you get to know her. Very up-tight, and always a bit frightened of going into new environment. Once you get to know her, she is practically the most outgoing person ever. Appearance: Rei Kaunnagan doesn’t particularly stand out in any crowd, but that doesn’t make her ugly. Wavy, dark brown hair falls to just past shoulder length, usually pulled up into a messy high ponytail, the style changes, depending on the weather or Rei’s mood. Usually it will be left loose. Next are her eyes, chocolate brown in color and surrounded by smoky lashes. Rei generally doesn’t wear make-up, which surprises people because her eyelashes seem to have a natural corkscrew curl to them. Her lips are a typical shape, sometimes accentuated by a little clear lip-gloss.
The girl’s build looks… delicate to most, and some assume her to be younger than she is. Her skin tone is fair, and her limbs look think enough to snap if too much pressure is applied, but don't be fooled. It’s true that Rei is strong- that's what you get for being the youngest out of five, and her light build means she’s quite speedy if she wants to be. When it comes to dressing herself, she likes to take a fair bit of pride in her appearance. Her cloths are worn in a manner that most would describe as ‘prim’, always as straight and clean as she can keep them. She has a general dislike for feeling dirty, so that is part of the reason for her liking to look so orderly. Otherwise she has a very 'I-don't-care-what-you-think' look to what she wears. She can mostly be seen with dozens of braclets on each arm, two to three different colored head bands and hair ties. She doesn't wear anything to showy, but nothing to plain and boring.

History: How gay is it that Rei's parents met over a bowl of something that smelt like it had gone bad years ago… They needed each other, just like her dad really needed to dodge out of the way of that flying pie. Her parents met in the middle of a food fight at the hospital during their intern days… How cool is that? Not very? See my point, seeing a picture of her parents going all gooey-eyed at each other over a chicken casserole which looked as if it had been regurgitated a few times actually kinda makes me wanna throw up in my mouth a little bit. And seeing them go all mushy-eyed at each other now over fish and chips? That only makes me wanna throw up even more… and not just because I can’t stand fish.
As much as I hate to give the old crinklies credit, if they hadn’t of met and Rei's mom didn't decide to further her medical studies in America, Rei would never of been born, and that would have been like, the biggest loss to society ever! So maybe not the biggest loss to society ever, but still.
Anyway, so yeah—Rei almost died when she was born, and not just because her dad dropped her whenever he tried to hold her, and not because her mom almost squashed her, but because she was born three months premature. Rei's mom and dad already had four other kids by the time she was born, you would think they would stop right? Wrong—three little boys and a girl, she was the last, the baby, the youngest, and if I say so- she was the cutest. Being the youngest, she got alot of attention, when she was young... and she still does if you think about it. Trust me, being the youngest out of five other children is not so easy. Their picking on you because you can't do anything about it or their smothering you to death because 'your so cute'. Unlike her older sister, she wasn't a total pinkaholic. She was more of the sporty tomboy type, and spent most of her time with her brothers, only because they were more fun to be around.
It wasn't all fun and games. There was the evil ‘naughty corner’. But it wasn't so bad in that corner. She had her brothers' wall drawings to keep her company, and half the time Rei would be set free early for just being 'so stinkin' cute'. All hail the cuteness, it has gotton her out of tons of trouble. Then that 'corner' became a 'place' away from the walls, and away from the awsomeness of wall drawings, so her brother could no longer ruin the walls. The good old times, then again she never got in that much trouble to begin with, not just because she was the youngest but because she was so grown up for her age. Rei's fun was always in her trusty drawing pad and its side kicks, BOOKS. So yeah, she was a neard, and proud of it, but lets get this one thing strait, she's not a studyholic, just a suck up.
Parents, if your reading, do not have five kids, you will get old... very... very...fast. Oh and for birthdays, parents it's going to be a living underworld for you, but the kids will love them. Rei only liked them because she got to eat sweets, and she totally LOVES sweets. Well on this one birthday her brother got a guitar, for him it was great. Then when Ella's birthday roled around she got a whole new set of books, and then that guitar didn't seem so great anymore. She couldn't even read in the house, without hearing him scream his lungs out like some slowly dieing cow. One time she even tried to break the stupid thing, but got caught and sent to the naughty 'place'.
So, her older brothers went of to some school but their not important so lets move on. It was just the three youngest children left. I'm guessing, Rei's mom didn't like having them gone and sent letters telling them to come home the next break, guess it reminded her too much of leaving her home in Japan.... Her way of getting over things was to bake. But Rei didn't complain about it. The cakes were very moist and the cupcakes were to die for.
A year after that, her third oldest brother went off to school, some special school her parents never really talked about, and couldn't help but rub it in her face, and then a year after that her sister went off to the same school... SHe was all alone, the last one left. At least She got some good reading in, but it was kinda quiet- completely boring. Around her thirteenth birthday, she started to notice a few weird things going on. Then, one day, BAM. POWERS. she thought she was absolutely crazy. And when I told my family? Oh, well, let's just say they didn't look surprised. So that year pased, and they sent her here.

| It was seven minuts after seven, and Evan hadn't shown up at the coffee shop. Rei looked a the big clock on the wall behind the counter just to make sure. Where was he? He'd never arived even one minute after Rei's shift ended at seven. Rei walked out the door slowly, as if she walked fast the world would crash around her. She felt the blast of heat as she walked outside, and squinted across the street. Sometimes Evan hung out with Kyo while he waited for Evan to be done. Today, Kyo was alone. Where could he be? By 7:30 Rei was starting to get really bothered, she ran through the parking, jumped the old fence that nearly gave out from her weight, and rushed to Evan's house. She slowed down as she neared his hose and caught her breath as she walked up to the door. No one answered. She nocked on the door a few times. Still no answer. She stepped back to look up at Evan's window for any signs of movement. NOTHING?! Why didn't he tell her he wasn't coming today? Why was it that no one was home? A long list of questions ran around inside Rei's head as she paced on the porch, biting her nails. She pushe all the questions aside and thought about how she was going to cuss Evan out for this. |
