Branchburg State University has been around for who knows how long. It is one of the most respectable schools in the entire state of Texas. You can guarantee that every person who has ever set foot through their doors was in the top of their class in high school at one point or another. Then there's Sanford Tech University, another well known school, but it isn't as respectable or as well known for its bright pupils. It's more known for all the kids who weren't the best of the best in high school, but weren't exactly the worst either. Let's just say you'd never see anyone from BSU hanging out with anyone from STU - that is until now.
The state of Texas recently decided it didn't need TWO state colleges right in the same area of town, so they decided to cut funding and consolidate to one school. There's only one problem with that - the students of Branchburg and the students of Sanford Tech hate the idea and are refusing to join together. Petitions have been going around as well as students going on strike. Okay, they're only going on strike for a reason not to be in class or do their work. The merger is complete from the state's point of view, but from the looks of it the students aren't going to mix together without a fight.
Truth be told, the students don't really care all that much. They just act like they do because a little drama never hurt anyone. C'mon, it's college. Let's party, make up, break up, and hook up. These are the best years of their lives, no matter what anyone says. The merger isn't causing that big of an issue. It's just that college itself is a complete social collision. Are you up for it?
