And it took awhile...Our Story begins with Four skilled Witches and Wizards. Four talented individuals that would later in history be revered as the sole founders of The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Huffelpuff.
It was Godric Gryffindor's idea from the start, and in including Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Huffelpuff, he certainly has a very good mix of idea and thoughts. But there was serious lack of funds. They had money but not a significant amount. Thats where Salazar Slytherin came about. Along with his fortune though came a significant amount of predjudice thoughts and actions. And though there were clashing ideas and harsh words the school was built and it was ready to be opened.
So when it was time to decide who would be admitted to this great school of magic, a haven for young witches and wizards there was quite a discrepancy on who should be let in.Godric Gryffindor believed that only those who were brave at heart, the nerve and daring nature to perform magic should be accepted to the school and so adopted these views into his house. He argued that it didn’t matter what blood a witch/wizard was as long as they didn’t fear the outcome and wanted to learn.
On the other hand Rowena Ravenclaw believed that only those with a ready mind, quick witted and yearned to learn the true art of magic should be accepted to the school and so adopted these traits into her house. She also agreed that it did not matter what blood you had, as long as you had the brains to do it.
However, Salazar Slytherin believed that only those of the purest blood were the ones that could do magic. To be of half-blood he considered them to be unworthy, diluted blood, and incapable of doing even the smallest bit of magic. So he therefore took these traits to the house of Slytherin to only accept those of pure blood.
Poor Helga Hufflepuff. She had no preference. Those who didn’t fit into any of her friends views, she took under her wing. A true friend, with a kind soul, she is just and loyal. She adopted the traits for those who were patient and unafraid of toil, those who fit no where else as she did among her friends but had the ability to be true to themselves.But we finally made it....The school has been opened for three years now. The sides have been formed in the Wizarding community. There are those that are for and those who are against the muggle borns that have been slowly being accepted into the school. But the opinion of the everyday wizard isn't the one that really matters is it? The only opinion that matters is the one with the most power, and lets just say that she's not very happy.
Evil lurks deep in the forest just outside Hogwarts where the most powerful witch of the times calls her home. And she's been slowly planning and plotting with a few visits and encounters with Salazar Slytherin, and she's got a gew tricks up her sleeve to scare some sense into the people. The sense that muggle borns could not be trusted and pure bloods should reign supreme. There needed to be some around here and she was just the person to enact it. And she would.
