SHINING OH SO BRIGHTLYPersonality Traits:
[*] Confident
[*] Stubborn
[*] Easily amused
[*] Friendly
[*] Wild
[*] Impatient
[*] Ironic
[*] Brave
[*] Violent
General Personality: Erica was always a very confident girl. She knew what she wanted, when she wanted it and where she wanted it. That was perhaps one of the reasons why she was always between friends. The young woman was also very stubborn and somehow bossy. If people tried to stop her from doing or getting what she wanted, she'd get seriously upset. Either ignore the person who was trying to get in her way, or start a fight that would take a long time to end. Yes, Erica is a person who usually people try to not mess with. But even so, she's quite friendly and warm when she wants to. Erica is kind of picky when it comes to friends...it doesn't matter what they look like or what family they came from. She is more interested about who they are...their personality. When she likes somebody, Erica will instantly become his/her friend, even when a harmless rivalry-kind-of relationship comes up, she'll still assume that person is her friend. But when Erica has a bad feeling about someone...she'll ignore them or start storming out at them.
Moving on, Erica is quite social, and when it comes to making friends, she likes to give the first step and when someone else tries to talk to her she feels thrilled.
After getting to know Erica, you'll find out that she's quite warm and playful. She loves a challenge and learning new things...that is if she's interested in them. The pink haired girl has very peculiar tastes, and she really can't take a negative critic about her taste or style.
Erica can even end up fighting. When angry, she can become quite violent and aggressive and end up in a real fight...and thanks to her power, Erica can have a fair fight with others. In any case, Erica isn't mean and aggressive all the time...but she does have her sarcastic and ironic side. Either with friends or strangers, she seems to always avoid serious and heavy situations by making ironic comments. It may not look like it...but Erica actually doesn't like heavy atmospheres. She just likes to have a good laugh and be surrounded by people she likes and trusts.
Erica is quite brave and has a lot of guts. Even when she was a little kid, she'd always be the first of her group to get inside the haunted house of the carnival or the only one who tried to drive her parent's car at the age of 10. Some people would say she's just a shameless girl that deserved a good spanking. But, Erica prefers to think of herself as an adventurous person. But Erica also likes to sit down and have a simple talk. As long as she's doing something, Erica feels happy.

FLITTING JUST LIKE FIREFLIES
Height & Weight: 54 kilograms - 163 centimetres
(sorry about that ^_^". Over here we use Kg and cm!)
Piercings/Tattoos: Small Japanese fish (Koi) on the right top of her back.
Picture:

Appearance: Erica has long dark brown hair that goes until the middle of her back. She usually wears it down...but she also likes to try out new things with it. She doesn't like her light brown eyes very much, since she'd prefer to have a more out of ordinary and wild color. Although Erica would like to have a wild eye color, she doesn't wear very flashy clothes. She likes them simple. Black, grey and white are her favourite colors...but she loves T-shirts with funny drawings or intelligent quotes.
The long haired girl seems to always wear trainers. They're comfortable but not anything special...Erica dislikes buying shoes. In her mind, people should be focused on her face, not on her feet.
Erica is quite slim and seems somehow fragile...yet one of her punches may hurt like hell. She has a medium height and seems elegant at first view. Yet the girl has many defects. She dislikes the small birth mark stuck on her left cheek. People many times tell her that it looks good on her...but the girl disagrees. In her 16th birthday, she begged her parents to let her do a tattoo. After many months of moaning and screaming...her parents finally gave her permission to make one (small) tattoo. Koi. The japanese fish represented a strong will and strength...Erica wanted that mark for so many time...and now she finally had it.SHOWING THE WAY TO HEAVEN
Family Members:
Clark Keyfield- 50 years old- father -Architect
Elisa Keyfield- 46 years old-mother-Script writer
Bobby Keyfield- 13 years old-brother-student (deceased)
Pet(s): One dog named "Ozzy" (names by Bobby)
Financial Status: Middle Class
History: Erica was the daughter of a known architect and of a three stared script writer. Both parents loved her very much and took good care of their daughter...yet they both were very busy people and had no time for their curious daughter. The young energetic girl had to become independent, and it didn't take long until she understood that she could survive perfectly well without her parent's help.
She became popular at school...teachers would refer to her as "one of the boys", since she got in some fights with them and played mostly with them. Since she grew up in a small town, almost everyone knew her name. Old ladies would refer to her as a shameless young woman and more traditional house wives couldn't understand how that girl could be so rebellious.
Yet none of that mattered. Erica grew up in a perfectly...healthy environment. Many adventures, many bruises, but no regrets. Life seemed sweet, even if she seemed like a rebel young lady, she loved her parents and brother above all. She and her little brother got into a couple of fights...but they were quite close to each other. The girl kept growing up, unaware of her power. The only one who seemed to understand that she was different was one of her best friends, Ronald, since he was the only one of Erica's friends that did have "special abilities". He could lift objects by simply looking at them...but when he was close to Erica, he couldn't even make a pencil roll to the side.
Erica was about 15 when Ronald told her that she could have a strange power that cancelled others' powers.
At first it sounded foolish to Erica and she simply laughed...but it didn't take long for she to understand that it was truth. The young girl felt thrilled for discovering that she had a power like that.
Yet it wouldn't help her very much when it came to average people...Erica liked the idea of becoming some kind of superhero. She asked her parents to let her practice Kickboxing. Her mother was quite shocked. She didn't like the idea of seeing her daughter practicing such a violent sport...yet her father seemed to enjoy the idea. They allowed their daughter to practice that sport...and at first, Erica wouldn't last two minutes without falling on the floor full of bruises and scars...yet, while time passed she became better and better, until she was able to hit her own coach.
Yes, now Erica knew how to fight. She had everything she needed to become a superhero. Yet a tragic episode occurred that seemed to wash away all of the girl's dreams.
While her young brother was riding his bicycle to school, a driver lost control of the car and it hit Bobby. The car only stopped when it went against a tree. Bobby's body was stuck between the tree and the car...still alive, but not for long. Erica and her parents recieved a phone call telling them that their son had died. Both parents cried loudly still holding the phone. And Erica...Erica also cried. But closed her fists with strength. She grabbed the phone and yelled a question at the police man who had seen the entire scene. "Who was it? Who killed my brother?!" The young girl was expecting to hear the person's name so she could give him/her a good lesson.
Yet the name that she heard was Janice Raymond...Ronald's mother. Erica calmed down and cried loudly. She couldn't take revenge. She couldn't save her brother. She couldn't do anything...
It was then that Erica understood that she couldn't become a superhero, since (at least in her understanding)her power was useless. She didn't dare talking to her parents about her so called "power". And after her brother's death she seemed to become distant from her friends. She wouldn't answer the phone or go out. She'd just stay at home, doodling on a piece of paper or sleeping.
Her parents understood that loosing her brother must have been as difficult to her as it had been to them...and perhaps their daughter needed a new start somewhere else...far away from that place full of bad memories. It was then that they found Aura Academy. It was like it appeared by magic. It seemed isolated from everything, but Erica's parents found it, and believed that it would be great for her daughter to meet new people and start in somewhere new.
Yet the young girl's parents had no idea that wasn't just any high school...neither did Erica. She only found out about it later. And her confident self seemed to come back when understanding that she was surrounded by people who were like her...well not like her...but she felt somehow comfortable in that place.OH, AND FOR JUST YOU AND I

"A snowy background made it seem like it was the North Pole. It was snowing and small white flakes covered a small girl who was lying on the white floor in a fetal position wearing a long and simple white dress. Shimi's brown eyes slowly opened...when feeling a small snow flake land on her nose. The small woman didn't want to wake up yet...it felt like her parents were trying to wake her up to go to school and force her leave her warm bed. But the girl wasn't lying on her bed or covered in sheets. That was what made Shimi quickly sit up and widen her eyes while looking around her. How strange...it was snowing, but it wasn't cold. Instead of trying to understand how this was possible, a huge smile came to Shimi's face and she lied down again, moving her arms and legs so she'd make an angel on the snow. "Shimi!"
The girl's eyes opened wide once she heard that voice...it came from far away...but she could tell who it was. The young adult quickly sat up and searched for the person who'd just called her. Her mother. There she was standing a few meters away from Shimi, waving her hand energetically and smiling. She looked prettier than ever. The long haired girl quickly got up, not caring if the back of her hair was covered in white snow. Without saying anything she began running in her mother's direction. Shimi felt so happy...after three years without seeing or hearing anything from her, there she was. Wearing a white dress just like Shimi's.
From behind her mother a man seemed to appear, also wearing white clothing. Shimi's eyes felt like they were going to melt in tears. Her father was standing right next to her mother, with a small but warm smile...just like she remembered him. They were holding hands and waving at Shimi. The girl was running as fast as she could. But since the floor had snow all over it, it made it difficult to hurry up. But it didn't matter. They were there. Both parents that she thought that she'd lost...smiling and calling her name.
A third figure seemed to appear right behind the two white dressed adults. Shimi's eyes widened, wondering who that could be...but the girl's smile quickly faded away when understanding that that wasn't her dead grandfather or her deceased aunt. Shimi couldn't really see who was that person behind the smiling parents, since the figure was standing in front of the setting sun, making her look like nothing more than a shadow. But Shimi could see those eyes. Those two light brown eyes looking at her in that devious way. The dark shadow slowly rised both hands and placed them gently on Omoi Subaru's and Hatsumi's shoulders.
Shimi widened her eyes when seeing that the snow where her parents were standing began to turn crimson red and that a heavy smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke seemed to surround them. "Stop it..." The dark figure behind her parents seemed to press their shoulders with strength, making the red color spread through the snow under Shimi's feet. "Stop it." Her parents kept on waving and smiling...but now they seemed more like lifeless dolls, controlled by the person behind them. "Stop it!" Shimi's voice sounded louder and louder while she got closer to the group of people. But the dark figure didn't move a muscle. It kept snowing and the blood red color continued to spread through Shimi's dream land. "STOP it!!" The girl didn't care how many times she tripped. She wanted that to stop.
She wanted that that figure vanished. She wanted to clean the red snow away from that once pure place. Shimi was only a centimetre away from the dark figure, both her arms stretched in her direction, in her sis...
A small gasp was heard in a small room of a small but warm apartment. Shimi was sitting up on her white flowered bed, covered in sweat. The girl looked around her confused...but quickly realized that it hadn't been real. Her parents were still dead. And she still hadn't been able to... Shimi covered both eyes with one of her hands. It almost made her cry. The number of times she had had that dream...the number of times she had almost been able to stop that dark figure from taking over her dreams...Her sister had made her life a living hell. It was like she was a disease that quickly spread through her entire family. Shimi hugged her legs tight. "You weak minded fool." That voice spoke again inside of Shimi's head, mocking on her...making fun of her attempts of getting rid of her. "Enough crying. Get up and go to work. Or are you just going to seat there and moan about how useless you are?" Jiburu's voice spoke again in her usual serious and sarcastic tone. It didn't matter. Shimi hadn't been able to free herself from that woman again. She did like the voice told her and started to get dressed.
Shimi knew that if she didn't do as she was told the voice wouldn't keep shut for the entire day. If she obeyed...it would calm down for a couple of hours. Shi looked outside her window into the blue skies...she had to get rid of Jiburu. "Perhaps next time...but not today." |
