THE TOWN| Welcome to Bordeaux, a fairly large city in the south of France. While at first glance this charming town seems to have nothing more to it than its lively culture and beautiful buildings, there is a rather grim secret within its ancient walls. There are others among the humans, blending in; unseen but lethal. Thought to be nothing but a thing of scary stories, these creatures are indeed real. Spectres, or ghosts, and Vielles Âmes, or vampires, have in the past lived peacefully, out of the public eye, but discontent amongst these minorities will bring chaos to the beloved Bordeaux. Recently they have made themselves known, but what horrors or delights will they bring?
THE PLOT| The history between Spectres and Vielles Âmes is one stained with murders and distrust. A century ago Les Spectres lost control and initiated a massacre not to be forgotten, and the repercussions were catastrophic. Many had to leave town immediately and a new generation of supernaturals was upon France. After witnessing such gruesome consequences of the ghosts’ thirst for power, the Vielles Âmes and Spectres made a sacred treaty, one that was to be respected under all circumstances. However, with time such reverence for the pact began to crumble and there was talk of corruption, this time on the side of Les Vielles Âmes. The underground society of ghosts and vampires began to divide into two opinionated groups; those who wanted power and those who only wished for peace. It was only a matter of time until something of horrible outcome would occur. Finally, the night came that the vampires attacked, swarming into town and killing many. The bloodshed did more than leave many citizens for dead, but broke the very foundation of a relationship between Spectre and Vieille Âme. All order was lost amongst the inhabitants of Bordeaux. A mere weeks have followed since the night the city’s gutters ran red and the struggle for power still carries on. From first glance, it is impossible to tell Bordeaux is undergoing such a division, but underneath the surface is pure turmoil. Only time will tell who will prevail.
THE COMMUNITY| The community of Bordeaux is looking for creative and experienced writers who are willing to be active members.
