•» feels like F A L L I N GYou'll hate them... everybody does, that's pretty much what they're there for. Those kids that don't have the money to go to fancy private schools. The kids that hate their parents and are hated by them in return. The kids that no teacher in their right mind would want to teach. Or at least that’s what everyone thought before Topher Academy came along. A band of teachers ready to take on the toughest students London and the rest of England, has to throw at them. How long will they last? The students have made it their mission to break the teachers just like they did to the set that came before them but will this determined bunch of educators really crack under the pressure or will they cope just fine when the kids try and put them through their paces?
Topher Academy was set up with the main intention of dealing with those kids all the other schools did their best with and got nothing from. They’re the rejects that society has pretty much given up on for various reasons. For some it’s just money that’s the problem. Others have even deeper problems – emotional, physical and even mental ones. As you can imagine this presented the hard nosed headmaster of the new school with a bit of a problem. What idiot would put them selves in this situation dealing with the stupid kids? Surely it would be like a suicide mission, each lesson being even more hellish than the one that came before it? Obviously conventional teachers weren’t going to be enough here. Something drastically different was needed for these non-conformist teens and that’s why the head at Topher went out of his way to select a bunch of young teachers he thought would be able to cope according to their files. Did he make the right choices about his team though? Will the arrogance of some of the teachers be their downfall? Will some inevitably get to emotionally attached and will others just find it all to much and walk out on the whole thing?
Students have been brought here from all across England from various schools up and down the country, and it’s the same for the teachers, some from as far as the states, some a little closer to home – East End London where the school decided to establish itself, right in the heart of civil unrest in the under classes. The school might be new but it didn't take long for the kids to literally leave their mark on the place. This is no fairytale school in a picture postcard setting but it's no hell hole either. It's just your average school in your average city dealing with your below average kids.
So in the word of the teaching team, bring on your messed up teens, there’s nothing that we haven’t seen and there’s nothing we can’t handle. The more messed up the better. You can keep your rich kids and perfect preps, we want your crazy rebels and wannabe sluts...
