The Blood are the guardians and protectors of the land, attributing to the luck of the Darkness. But how much is really legend? How much have the Blood forgotten? The whispers of the Black have faded from the public eye. The legends about Witch are so outdated that even historians and storytellers don't whisper her name anymore, not even in the secret places in their hearts. The Realms have stood alone for quite some time, without the hand of the Darkness looming over them.

No matter how much the Blood may try to avoid it, war is coming. A war of words, a war of blood and death, war to envelop all the realms. It spreads far and wide, and not one person can avoid it. From the peaceful lands of Scelt to the war ravaged lands of Askavi in Kaeleer, from desert haven Pruul to its sworn enemy Hayll in Terreille, there is nothing no one can do anymore but pray to Mother Night they will survive through it. It is all they have left.

But you? What color is your soul? Does your blood thrum in time to the Opal? The Red? The Black? Are you a Queen, a Prince, a hearth witch? Step through the Gates and see if you have what it takes to lead, to follow... to survive.

There will be ones born to lead and to follow, to serve and be served. To fight and to die. A time has come where not even the Blood themselves know which side they are on as everything is changed. Death looms over the realms, pierces through the heart of every Queen, Black Widow, and Warlord. Blood will be spilled this night and all nights, for now it is the only way for the Blood to survive.
