Here's the deal, I'm thinking of creating a thread for wanted characters in the registration. This thread will consist not only of character types that we have in high demand, but also with characters the current members would like to have. This thread, like the Canon List, will be pinned in the registration forum.

What do people think of this idea? Yay/Nay? How would you execute it?

I think that it's a good idea.

Yay ^___^ I think it's a splendid idea; it would really help to keep things organized. And then no one would have to go searching around all those topics.

How would you organize it? By cliques and grades? It'd be similar to the canon list, right? Sorry for all the questions. I'm in an inquisitive mood tonight.

Basically, the list will serve several functions:

1. List character traits that we need or ones that we don't need, e.g. poor students on scholarship, [heterosexual] boys, other ethnicities, etc.
2. Sort character submitted wanted characters that have yet to be made. e.g. family members, siblings, cousins, lovers, etc. This is not to be confused as a substitute for the wanted character forums. The wanted character forums are for people to post for prospective candidates for their needs. For example, if I needed an enemy for Zephyriah, I could post there and ask for anyone with a present character to volunteer to be Zephy's enemy. However, if I wanted someone to play Zephyriah's little brother, I would add him to the Wanted Characters Thread.

Mostly, characters in the wanted character thread will include a few things, but it will be up to the lister to quantify. It can act like a bit of a classified section. For example, if I wanted someone to play Zephyriah's brother, I could have a listing like so:

Nicolas Eldritch Beccaria -- Age 14
Zephyriah Beccaria's mischievous younger brother. Energy Sourcer. Clique negotiable.
Contact: Zephyriah Beccaria

I could continue to divulge more information as need presents itself.

As to how I'd do it... I'd break the list into sections maybe with the [ hr ] code? and when I do that one section would be the want side and the other unwanted or rather, less favorables (the stuff in really low demand)

The want section would be where we post specific character requst like Nicholas Beccaria

Actually, I have a better idea. Much simpler...

First have the rquest of characters listed at the top, then maybe use a divider and have two list. One the 'in need' or favorable traitslist. A list of the boards basic needs as well as a second list the 'list of meh.' Things that we would prefer to see less of, listed in an obvious, blunt manner so that it is quite clear where the need lies.

Another thing you can sorta do is maybe a count ( I can help with this if you deside to do it)

Where you count the number of people under each variation. Ex.:

You get what I mean. Those are just some suggestions since you asked for feedback on what we might do. I'm not really telling you to do it or anything and my ideas are all messy. I just really like the iddea and would like to ee it put into place.

That would be a sweet idea, except I think it would cause a lot of administrative overhead. We have the signups for things like powers anyway.
