He had no idea what he was doing.
Standing around in the abandoned building was not the best way he could have been spending his time. He could have been back up in his dorm sitting on his computer, he could have been back up in his dorm sleeping, he could have been standing around in the hallways looking for someone to talk to, he could have even been trying to find his sisters so they wouldn't find their lovely friend Zephyria. Whom he did not think lovely in the slightest, and would rather see her falling off of a cliff, a very large cliff, than see her with his sisters. She was just a b*tch. Simple as that. Just like the vast majority of the royals, and all of the majestics. He only said vast majority because his sisters were royals, and they were not included in that generalization. He knew them well enough, and while he acted like an ass around them, he loved them. Quite a lot, and the only thing he really wasn't happy about was their choice of clique. He hadn't minded being a nobody, and still didn't. There was no reason to join any clique, for any reason.
There was one other person Evander didn't mind as much as the rest, but he wouldn't say who or why. He had threatened the narrator seventeen times in order to keep him quiet, but this narrator would never stop until Evander was royally screwed, no pun intended whatsoever... wow. That was a rather good pun. While the narrator silently laughed to himself, Evander stood staring at the wall opposite him in the abandoned building. It was a very boring wall. It had a very big hole in it, which Evander could obviously see through. So he was staring at the wall past that wall, which looked to be in the same condition. To get back on the subject of who he did not mind as much as the rest, we're getting off of that subject. It is rather relevant to the entire thing, but oh well. He did try to give other royals a chance, very rarely did he actually give them that chance, but when he did, he found he had found a friend. Sometimes. Not usually. He wasn't a very open person around royals, or majestics. He had, a few months after arriving at Aura, stereotyped the two cliques. The royals were simply the majestic's own personal bitches, while the majestics were kids who had popularity and money. Not much else. Did any of the majestics seem poor? Not in the slightest. The most annoying of them were, of course, Alice Black and her un-official boyfriend, Mr. Flynn. What was so appealing about that kid, anyways? He looked five times his age. If not older.
Evander was not jealous in the slightest. Nor did he care about the majestics. However they wanted to run their lives, they could go about it however they wanted. School was just a game, anyhow. One of two games. Either a popularity contest, or a contest of intelligence. Evander played the intelligence game. Three simple rules. One. Don't cheat, or you lose. Two. Don't cheat using your abilities. Three. Don't follow the rules. It was a fun game, one Evander had thought of himself. The popularity contest was a bit simpler, and very similar. He had also come up with this game himself. The rules? There was only one. What was it? Get to the top, and stay there. How does not matter. Half the school was playing it, even if they didn't know it. The royals? Vast majority wanted to be majestics. Majestics? All five were happy where they were. Enough about random things. On to the more important things.
Evander was not quite sure what he was doing in the abandoned building, but he could figure it out soon enough. He had heard, from a few of those people who could see ghosts, mediums or something, that there were quite a few ghosts in the building. He knew nothing about it, and he couldn't see any, so he was happy and content. What was so scary about ghosts anyways? They couldn't hurt you. They could pass through you, sure, but that didn't kill you. Evander frowned at the room. The entire room. It was covered in layers of dust, cobwebs all over, and he was pretty sure he saw a bone sticking out of the ground. Oh, nevermind. It was... well, he wasn't quite sure what it was, so for the moment he ignored it and assumed it was something he didn't care for. He watched the door he had come in, hoping to everything he possibly could that no one would come in and bother him. The chances of that, however, were very, very, very, very, very small. And then some.
ooc; miserable starting post, i know... just shoot me...
Well, wasn't she the brave one.
Evander couldn't help but laugh. It was funny. Not the girl, but what she had just attempted to do. So after that bit of screaming, he had to assume she had been singing instead. There were two possibly things he could think. She was lying, or she was a horrible, horrible singer. Actually, he believed both, but the first was the real reason, anyways. What had scared her? Wait. Royals were supposed to... well, they weren't supposed to be brave. Evander assumed that was rebel territory. It probably came with being a rebel. Evander wasn't a rebel, nor was he incredibly brave, so this is actually a meaningless paragraph. She sounded wonderfully pleased to see him, as well. With that 'oh it's you' comment. He could have, and should have, asked someone to come down with him. Some of the kids in this building scared freaked him out a bit. Like that one kid he had passed on his way in. What had she been doing, anyways? What she had been doing is a bit over the PG / PG-13 rating of this post, so we'll leave it at she was doing something she probably couldn't have done back inside the school without getting a few phone calls home, a few talking to's, and a very hard slap to the face.
Most weirder kids came down here, so Evander had thought he was safe. He had rarely seen royals or majestics down here. Maybe the occasional royal, but they were with someone. Or drunk. He didn't want to know much of anything that was happening in this building, as he feared if he ever did learn of what it was, he'd regret it instantly. But there stood Ashlynn Sparks, looking lovely ugly as ever. What was so wonderful about her, anyways? She could cool her drink? She could throw ice cubes at you? What was so wonderful? Maybe in a waterballoon fight it'd be kind of fun, for her at least. Freezing up the balloon... wow. Fun. What else could she do? Turn herself into an ice sculpture? He had to find her if she ever did that. He could smash her up a little bit.
"Someone's happy to see me." It wasn't Ashlynn, but he had to say something, and that was the wittiest thing he could think of. He had nothing more to say, until she had to go ask what he was doing. "What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" He paused, a very small, insignificant smile crossing his face. "Making friends with some of the ghosts?" She already did look like a fool, so Evander felt it his duty to make it last. Why? He was an ass. Too bad. His thoughts wandered over to Mandalynn. What had she been doing recently? He hadn't seen her around at all recently. What had she been doing recently? Hiding in her dorm? What was there? Or maybe she had left Aura. Eh. He hadn't seen her around, so he could only assume.
ooc; *sigh* sorry for this miserable post, again... i need to go find my muse.
