She let the heavy trunk fall from her hands to the linoleum with a loud thud. Heavy trunks and dragging = Bad health. She sighed and rubbed her viciously red palms to make them feel better, but she's only making them ache worse. She lifted the trunk again and practically threw it into the air before it landed somewhere near her bed. " Another year. " she thought.
She pulled down her hood and took off her Chucks. She doesn't like wearing shoes in places she thinks are personal and has to be clean. Not Ministry of Health clean, Helena clean. Yes, the answer to your question is correct. Helena Lucianna Wayland has a bad case of OCD. She unzipped her hoodie and threw it onto her bed before plopping down on the bed herself.
She took out her sketch pad and a box of charchoal. Careful not to the dirty the sheets, she started sketching her time away. She wondered if her roomate was in. Judging by the silence, she guesses she's not. She shrugged that thought off and continued with her sketching. She hopes she can have at least an hour of silence and not be disturbed by any freaks.
Aura has been great but some people just intimidate her, especially the ones who think they rule the school and the whole wide world.
It's very short. Sorry~

Dominique had arrived earlier in the day. Her stuff the day before. Her mother wouldn't hear of it any other way. Aura was a flexible school catering to everyone's needs and wishes. It had been earlier in the day when Mini didn't wish to stay all closed up and alone in her dorm room. She had just been roaming the halls. At Aura Academy she didn't have to play along with what her mother wanted she got to be who she was. Mind you most of the lessons her mother instilled in her had become part of her. She merely covered most of it up with pure innocence. Given that she was a Majestic most people found her adorable, those who didn't she didn't mind so much.
It was still pretty damned early in the afternoon but Mini had given up searching for her brother. Her mind getting the better of her and following the minds of those who intrigued her. So after getting sidetrack six times she figured it was time to head back to her room. Relax for an hour or so. Possibly set up her room. She rarely procrastinated, in wasn't in her to dawdle for hours doing everything but what she should. She stepped into her room and smiled.
"Company..." She was glad for her sixth sense, without even having to read her roommates mind she could feel her presence. That came from hard work and practice. "Hello?" She called out and sent a mental reply as well. She wasn't intruding that much she knew and she doubted the girl would realize it was telepathy, one's mental voice naturally sounded like ones vocal voice.
[Mine is pretty short to. >.<]

As a child, she didn't like her powers at all. To be exact, she thought it was a burden but as she grew she learned to accept her powers but at this moment, it's like being 13 all over again. Her sketch is a piece of crap thanks to the voices that were ringing in her head. The voices of the dead. How pleasent. During these last few days, they've been talking (some even yell and stuff) to her but she can't bother to even do anything about them. It's really annoying how she can't even get any sleep. Talk about sleep deprivation. She wouldn't really do this but at this point, she just have to. She ripped the page from the book and threw it into the dustbin. " Sorry, my dear tree. I couldn't help it. " she apologized to a tree. How disturbing is that?
She put the charchoal away and dusted any dust from her bed before rolling over onto her back. The voices are getting unbeareble and they're much, much more louder. Great. A head-ache was coming. She groaned and her hands over to her ears, trying to block out the noises which weren't really working to be honest. She threw the covers over herself and pulled a pillow over head, just trying to block out the freaking voices. The voices were getting louder and her brain feels as if it could break out of her skull anytime soon. She screamed into the mattress and rolled over. " Screaming obviously doesn't help. " she muttered to herself. " Stop talking to yourself. " she angered at herself for making her habit worse. Recently, she's been talking to herself. A lot.
She slapped her cheek with a little too much force and sat up, her bare feet touching the cold, hard linoleum lightly. The head-ache was getting worse by the mili-second. Yes, mili-second. She wishes she could tune out the voices and make them sound like buzzing. At the thought of that, a fictional character flashed through her mind and that character was Edward Cullen from that novel she read a few months ago. " Stupid shiny silver Volvo owner. " she said to herself again before slapping herself again. This can't keep going on. She sighed and got to her feet, maybe standing helps to soothe the throbbing. When she did tried it, it only got louder and ten times painful. Without further dues, she collapsed back on the bed with her hands on her head.
She rolled in pain and grabbed a pillow to cover her screaming. She could feel something open, like a door but she couldn't be bothered with room service (or so she thought). The voices were growing louder and what the frog! A voice even says " Hello. "!! Gripping the pillow tightly, she sat up and threw the pillow to the door, her eyes wide in rage and pain until she realized a figure was standing there.

Mini just wasn't the intruding type not that didn't mean she didn't get her share of pain. But she just let them flow through her like voices in a crowd. Ignoring most of it turned it all into murmurs she didn't have to focus on. But she was half curious now. As she had made her way to her roommates bedroom and saw her attempting something which obviously hadn't worked. She knew what the girl was trying to do as Mini had done it herself so many times in her earlier years. The pillow laying not five feet from her gave it away. She put on a smile though and slightly cocked a brow.
"My now what might all this be about?" Mini asked. She scooped up the pillow and stepped into the room. Stepping over to the bed and putting the pillow down by the girls feet. Being so close Mini had to fight the urge to take a peek into the girls mind. It was rude and frowned upon but Mini really tried not to peek into the minds of those she knew well even though she couldn't help it. It helped ease her boredom for the most part. It's not like it would hurt and she wouldn't notice the difference... Mini argued with herself mental before realizing how rude she was being.
"Oh and I'm sorry... i didn't mean to come in uninvited. I'm Mini Tyler." She introduced herself to her new roommate. The girl looked familiar but Mini's mind was elsewhere all she did know was that they had never been formally introduced.

A girl, probably her age was standing there with a cocky raised eyebrow. She walked over and placed the pillow at her feet. She asked a her a question but she replied it with silence. She doesn't need to deal with the living right now. Not when the dead was taking over her system. The dark-haired stranger was in close proximity, which Hell is not fond of. She doesn't like people being so close to her, it annoys and intimidates her a lot since she was a very self-concious person. It annoyed her even more because the girl was good-looking unlike her (that's what she thinks anyway).
As the stranger was still in close proximity, Hell noticed her having this funny look in her eyes, like she was arguing with herself and there's something else. Probably curiosity? Funny this one is. She got to her feet and placed the pillow where it belonged again. She crossed her arms over her shoulders defisively, standing her ground. There's something really something funny with this one. Oh wait, who here isn't funny? Duh.
" It's all right. I don't think you're uninvited unless..you're not my roomate. If you are then I'm Wayland, Helena Wayland. Nice to meet you,..Mini. " she said with a smile, extending her hand in the process.

Mini's smile went wide and made her eyes small, a genuine smile. "Pleasure is mine. As I'm no longing rooming all by my lonesome self." She responded with a slight nod and reached out to accept Helena's hand and shook it with a light force. She was glad to discover her roommate was one of those willing to get along type of people. Though it was funny the formality between the two strangers. But Mini refused to let that last for too long.
"Well now that we have at least Introductions out of the way. Can i inquire what the pillow had done wrong?" She asked with a little giggle. She get to the fact that she already figured it out just a moment before she asked. For being to practiced she had very little control over her urges. Peeking into her mind and finding it almost as loud as her, though not quiet. Ghost were persistent to say the least but there weren't as many ghost as their were humans. Still she could understand Helena's problem and quickly shut the girls mind from her own. It appeared they both had too many voices roaming in their heads. Neither needed any more.
"If you try not to focus on them, and pretend you just roaming through a crowded hall they become more like that hum in the background. Its better then having them be so loud and at the front of your mind." Mini offered Helena some friendly advice.
Helena Wayland - December 6, 2007 06:50 AM (GMT)
Those eyes of hers are really funny. Is she one of those electric shocker girl like that Hart girl. Grimacing mentally at the thought of Melanie Victoria Hart, she shook Mini's hand before sitting back down onto her bed. She was rather surprised Mini gave her a smile. A genuine one to be exact. Even with Mini here, her head still ached and throbs hard. She put her head down and rubbed her temples in circular motions, doing that wasn't helping anything either.
She snapped out of her own thoughts (and others voices) when Mini suddenly directed a question at her.
" I think I saw my ex's face on the pillow. Yeah, that's probably it. " she groaned in reply before collapsing onto her back. The voices were certainly getting louder and wait, what was that? She panicked mentally, she felt as if, as if, eyes looked into her? Is that it? In a second, the feeling dissapeared and Mini spoke again. She sat back up at what she said.
" You're a mind reader..." she muttered to herself quietly, smacking herself for being so slow in the process. This should be interesting, a roomate who could take a look into her mind any hour and even any second of the day! Snapping herself awake, she nodded in gratitude for her advice before sitting herself crossed leg into her bed as if she's doing yoga. She straightened her back and tried not to focus on the freaking voices. After a moment of focusing, the voices turned down into a hum. Yeah, she guesses Edward Cullen isn't so stupid after all. She opened her eyes and couldn't help but smile at Mini. " I'm starting to like her.." she thought to herself. " Damn it, she probably heard that. This is going to be hard. " she retorted mentally.
Sighing in relief, she got to her feet and almost instantly the throbbing and the aches were gone. Gone just like that.
" Thank you for the advice. " she said, smiling.

Mini was glad at seeing the relief flood onto Helena's face. She laughed to herself and bowed like a gentleman, then laughed again as Helena guessed right. "BINGO!" Her left hand moved up to her left cheek and as her index finger extended her lesser fingers touched her palm, she winked as she spoke. It was amazing how she could appear innocent without much effort, for being a 16 year old girl.
"Oh but don't worry. I've been practicing since I found out what I could do. And I normally don't pry... unless bored or worried or forced to." She smiled dimly. Admitting to herself it was sort of her own little addiction. But then again for most with powers it must be hard to refrain from using them.
"Do you mind my asking whats it like being a Medium?" She had always been curious about other peoples powers. She even sometimes let herself into their minds when they used their powers. It was a crazy feeling, but when it came to others with Mental powers she tended to avoid it. Just read their mind or communicated with them.
Helena Wayland - December 10, 2007 06:03 AM (GMT)
She was rather reliefed that Mini doesn't read minds all the time like she said. Hell kept in mind that she should keep her busy and entertained, not bored or face the consequences of this mind reader reading her mind. She stored the note into her mental inbox and smiled in response. She was quite surprised by her question about her powers but who isn't curious, eh? Curiosity does kill sometimes though. She shrugged at the thought and faced the ceiling for answers.
" Let's just say it's one power I never wished to have and a power no one would like. You see, I see and talk to dead people. It's creppy and the ghosts usually scare the shit out of me. They pop out of nowhere and boom! They're talking to me. One even asked for her bra back! They think I'm some maid that serves them. Like one of my friends said, it's freaky how I have to wake up to three ghosts in front of me asking for coffee. Whatever it is, they dead people freak me out but the power can be useful sometimes..."she trailed off, thinking of her first experience with her powers. She remembered how she saw the mother she never knew. How she thinks her powers were a burden and not a gift.
" And don't even get me started on the voices in my head. " sha added in remembrance of her once throbbing head. " I guess that's about it. I'm just learning to accept these dead people and their rants. " She laughed off her last sentence and her eyes travelled back to the floor.
