It feels like I'm losing again
When I've lost everything
I'm sure I will see more clearly
Lose what I'm feeling to them
And not feeling anything
I'm sure I will bleed sincerely
Tonight!
It was typical that Lindsay wasn't in bed sleeping. It wasn't that she had sleep deprivation, she just liked staying up late. Lindsay sat up from her bed and looked blindly around in the dark of her dorm room. She could see the dark outline of her dorm roommate sleeping soundly, unaware of Lindsay watching her. Suddenly there was an overwhelming sense of isolation flood through her. The silence was too loud for her to take any longer. As quietly as she could, she stood up, her bare feet touching the harsh cold floor. Wincing, she gingerly walked over to a small pile of clothes that were starting to collect in the corner. She pulled out a pair of shocks and slid them onto her feet. Since she was still fully dressed, she didn't need to find any more clothes other then her sweater. That was almost a nightmare trying to find in the dark, and it didn't help that it was black.
After a few minutes of bumping into things in the dark and stopping every few seconds to make sure she didn't wake her dorm mate, Lindsay finally found her System of a Down zipper up sweater. She slipped it on, then headed for her door. Her hand was inches away from the door knob when she paused. Sneaking out of her room was difficult, especially since the door squeaked when it opened. How was she going to get out of that room without disturbing anyone or getting caught?
Wait a minute! How could someone be so stupid? Didn't she have the ability to teleport? Smiling at her moment of stupidity, Lindsay pictured the school's gardens in her mind as best she could and teleported there. Next second Lindsay was standing in a small pile of snow with the only the glow of the moon giving her light. A second later her feet felt like they were frozen to the ground.
"Shit!" Again, how could she be so stupid and forget to put some shoes on her sock covered feet. Stumbling out of the small mound of snow, and hopping from one foot to the next, Lindsay quickly found a small patch of ground that didn't have a lot of snow. There she collected her thoughts, and looked around at her surroundings. She was standing right in front of the marble fountain of a mermaid, and wooden benches were located right behind her. As far as she could tell, or see, there didn't seem to be anyone there besides her. Good. She could easily teleport back to her dorm room and get a pair of shoes and come back. Turning around, Lindsay was just about to teleport when she stopped abruptly. Was that a cough she heard?
"Hello?" She called, spinning around. There was someone there that she couldn't see. She was sure of it. "Who's there?"

OOC: Nobody seems to have replied yet and it says open so...hope you don't mind.
"Shimata..." he thought, her voice ringing in his ears as she had found out that there was another presence besides her in the garden, at this time of hour no less. "Just someone with a case of insomnia, like you." he said, head popping up from behind the fountain. He sighed a breath of relief softly and swiftly to himself. It could've been security or something like that but he was glad that it was another student. Least he wouldn't be ratted out...since he got 'dirt' on her as well.
His coat swayed slightly as he stood up and walked around the fountain, waving at her with a smile. Wearing his plad scarf, he pulled it down with a hand, showing a bit more of his face, not trying to get that 'air of mystery' already. Ebony orbs scanned over the fields of flowers and onto her, curiousity taking over as he noticed her appearance. She wasn't dressed normally...or at least not like those royals. A difference was obvious. "I guess you never know what you might encounter in the night." he commented as he lowered his arms to his sides and into his pockets.
"Soooo...what's up ? You not cold without a pair of shoes ?" he asked, the answer obvious however. He did hear her hop around on the snow, crunching beneath her weight. He pulled his boots out of the snow and took a step closer to her, the snow having piled on his feet as he stood still. It was getting a bit cold to just be standing still.

Now she could hear someone talking, and spun around to face the fountain where someone's head popped up from behind it. It was a young face. Lindsay heaved a small sigh of relief. Thank god he was another student. What he said made her want to argue about it. She didn't have insomnia, or at least she didn't think she did. When she wanted to sleep she could easily sleep. It was just a matter of when she wanted to sleep. But she didn't say anything about the insomnia, maybe she did have a different forum of it.
Lindsay smiled at him as he approached her. It seemed that when ever she smiled at someone, it was a kind of indication that they could approach her. It showed them that she was friendly and you could safely approach her without leaving with a bruise. She looked him over and decided that she didn't know him from a hole in the ground. Well, that was going to change now by the looks of things. He looked like he was a nice guy who wasn't like everyone else. At least that's what she got from first glance looking at him. She tilted her head to the left slightly at his comment. She wasn't entirely sure if what he said was a good thing or a bad thing. "True," she said with a slight nod of her head.
"My dorm room was a bit quiet, stuffy.. and a bit boring too so I left it," she chuckled as she looked down at her feet. "And I left so fast I forgot about shoes, and surprisingly I'm not all that cold. Just my feet." Just as she said that however, she got a sudden cold rush and wished she had shoes and a jacket on. It was her own stupidity in the first place. If only she could teleport items to her, it would make life so much more easier. "What brings you here?" She asked, deciding she already knew the answer seeing as it was one of the first things he said to her, insomnia. But then again she could be wrong.

His arms crossed in front of his chest, weight shifting from one leg to the other as he stood a few feet away from her. He didn't wish to intrude on her personal space, not this early at least. He saw her up close now and he figured her for the type of...Well, obviously being different from the other cliques but that was okay. He liked different, differences triggered fascination in him and showing interest in someone was a kind thing to do in his book.
He listened to her speak, her explanation ringing clear to him. He agreed and understood it, even though it wasn't quite the same reason he went outside here at this time of hour. When she dropped the fact that she wasn't cold at all, he coughed and laughed. She was shivering, it was apparent to the twitching he noticed in her muscles. Curse these developed eyes...he laughed at his self-sarcastic remark but waved it away.
"I'm not here to keep young women from freezing but I guess it's what I'm gonna do right now." he commented, carefully approaching her whilst pulling the zipper of his own jacket down. "Dad always said be nice and be returned nice but I'm not doing this for favors. Here, wear it." he said, jacket removed from his torso and held out in front of him, waiting for her to accept it. He had avoided the question she asked about his presence here but it wasn't intentional, he just didn't want his words fall upon distracted ears; distracted by the cold. He gave a quick sigh as a cold wind washed over his own form, making him shiver as well, but he hid this 'minuscule' fact. It had no influence on his decision.

((OOC: I'm so sorry I took so long to reply.)
OK, so it was a bit obvious she was a bit cold. She could help the strong urge to teleport back to her dorm room to grab a thicker sweater and some shoes. She didn't own a jack, she hated the cold with a mad passion. Whenever the weather became too cold for her liking, she'd go into what she'd called hibernation; only going outside when she needed to. Because of that she never needed to by a thick jacket. For times like these though, a jacket would have been nice. And a bloody pair of shoes!
But of course, she didn't want to seem rude and randomly disappear into thin air to suddenly reappear. However, it all depended on who she was with. If she was there talking to someone she didn't like she would have done that except she wouldn't return. The boy standing in front of her seemed nice enough that they might become good friends in the near future. He was different from most of the other guys she knew of. He didn't seem to belong in any of those stupid cliques most people liked to place themselves in because they thought they had to be like everybody else just to fit in.
She shivered once more and was strongly thinking about telling him that she was going to quickly get shoes and a jacket. Before she could do that however, it seemed that he read her mind as he walked towards her while unzipping his jacket. "You don't have to," she said. She really didn't want him to give her his jacket. It was cold outside. It was her own stupidity that she went outside without a jacket and she didn't want other people to suffer because of that. She watched as he took his jacket off and handed it to her.
She couldn't help it as a small smile crept onto her face. "Thanks," she said as she took his jacket gratefully. "I'm in your debt, she said as she slipped her arms into the sleeves of the jacket. Instantly she could feel the warmth of the jacket, and the fact it smelled nice.
"I don't think you've told me your name yet. I haven't told you my name either. It's Lindsay. Or Linds. Whatever you prefer to call me." She stated as she held out her hand. How could you talk to someone and not know their name? Especially when they seemed nice enough to befriend.
