Drop off:

[Normle Trap card]

Effect:

"This card can be activated during your opponents draw phase. Your opponent must discard the card he/she draws to the graveyard from their hand immediately."

This has to be one of my faverite cards, since I play control. Most think this card isn't good but it has a lot going for it. The world champion of 2003 played 3 of these, a lot of people think torrential tribute is better, but if you play control this card is more useful then torrential. Heres why:

-The card they draw is going to the graveyard no matter what(unless they have something to counter it)
-If they have no hand it's a great staller card
-Torrential can be destroyed before you get to use it(hfd, mst, ect)but drop off is used before they have a chance to do anything

cons:

-If your opponent has 4 exoida pieces in their hand and they draw the last and you use drop off they still win because it goes to their hand first.
-If they draw mystical space typhoon, they can use it in a chain. Why? Because it goes to their hand first and since it's a quick play it can be chained, but if your opponent has no magic/traps, it doesn't do anything.

At first when you look at this card you think "This card sucks" but when you give it a second chance it helps a lot. It's not one of the best cards in the world, but it(in my opponion)is very well close to stable in a control deck, but remember this card works better in 2's/3's.

I rate:

For control: 8.9/10
Over all: 5.9/10

I think this card is overated, if you think about, it's a waste of your draw to mess up your opponents, because you could have drawn some better card, but drop off can only discard one of your opponents cards, so you lose a card and your opponent loses a card, so you both mess up your draw phase

I'd give it a 6/10 for control
and for other decks I'd give it a 2/10

it's not as good as they say it is
