Personality: Hariko is usually pretty shy, and can be very mean at times. She gets a little more animated when she is around people she knows and is comfortable with. Around strangers she seems to hardly talk, but can become very outgoing.

History: Born in the snowy winters of Japan, in the Shadow of Mt. Fuji, Hariko was far from ordinary. When she was born, her mother knew something had happened. Her mother was a very skilled martial artist, as well as very skilled with many other things. One of these things being the ability to control celestial light.

When Hariko was just of the age 4, she was only years away from becoming a first degree black belt in
the martial arts she studied, and was already having fun with her powers. All her mother could think of was the torture in life that came from having special abilities. Once her family found out about her, they shunned her from the family, leaving her to fend for herself.

At first, when Hariko was still having childs play with her powers, her mom would scold her about using them, and never to use them around people. Hariko listened, for a little while, but became too excited, and she wanted to show everyone her special talents, especially to her peers. School hadn't been much fun for her, because not many people liked her family. Her dad used to, in a sense, belong to the government, but for reasons unkown to Hariko, they disowned him, shunning him, everyone of that generation still remembering it and basically shunning him and his family. Not too long after that Hariko was born.

All during school, a lot of the kids shunned her, because they followed their parents in many ways. Hiding her feeling as well she could, Hariko ignored their behavior, living her life as best she could, usually drawing attention to herself. Being a bit of a show off and class clown, that probably didn't help her situation.

When she first showed her celestial light abilities, a lot of her peers found some way to doubt it was really there, while some believed her, but thought it was freaky. Others shunned her even more for having this ability, even though when she first tried this it was at the age of 12. Hariko's mom scolded her for the use of her powers, just as she did before, and Hariko listened, feeling the same neglect she did all day long at school.

Trying to impress her peers with her knowledge wasn't easy to do, either. Sure, we was very smart, but no one aknowledged it. All she ever got was the slightest "That was okay," or "It wasn't bad," nothing that made her feel wanted. So, despite all of her efforts, nothing Hariko did made anyone aknowledge her. When she turned 15, she had just begun to ignore everyone around her, and just lived with her life how it was.

Then, on the day before her birthday, Hariko's mother was driving home in a violent storm. Very late that night, she answered the phone, only to be greeted by horrible news - her mother was in the hospital in a coma. She and her father rushed to the hospital, Hariko barely breathing and feeling very ill. That night she spent by her mothers side, but when she awoke, her mom was still in the same condition.

She spent the next week with most of her time just sitting by her mom, waiting for her to wake up. On the 8th day of Hariko's stay with her mom, she woke up to meet the gaze of her mom. Rushing over, she knelt down, holding her moms hand, which was slowly growing more and more cold. With her mother's final words, she wished for Hariko to use her gift wisely, and to be happy and leave this place, going to Bayville to the X-Mansion. With the last of her strength, Hariko's mother took off her own silver collar she was wearing, and put it on Hariko, but did not have enough energy left to explain what it all ment.

After attending her mother's funeral, Hariko took off for Bayville, following her mom's words, and finding the X-Mansion. Professer Xavier knew she was coming, and offered her to stay, and she accepted. Still staying there now, but likes to stay a little further away from everyone else, walking in the shadows, and staying in her room quite a bit.

Hair: Black, about a little past shoulder length, has bangs, seems to have a purple-ish tint to it when using powers.
Traits: Elongated canine teeth.
Overall Description: Fairly short for a 17 year old, she still has a very slender and nice figure. Fairly strong for how she looks, but not too terrible strong.
Basic & Occasional Clothing: She usually wears oriental-looking shirts, and she has all colors of jeans available, all form fitting. Haruko also has many pairs of jeans with holes ripped on the knees, from time wearing them there. Wears hoodie sweatshirts a lot. She wears Chuck Taylor converse, she has two black pairs, both low-top, one new-looking, the other having the toe area signed by varios bands. For those "formal" occansions she has a oriental looking dress, that comes to just above her knees. It is black, with light blue and pinks, reds, and some purples on it, various japanese symbols are written in these colors, as well as some designs. With that she wears black, thin strapped, heels. The strap of these makes three X's over her foot, then wraps up her leg 3 times.
Combat & Training Suit: A full catsuit, black, with many different peices of leather on it. (Like they wear in the X2 movie.. Or at least Jean Grey does (Like hers.)). Black gloves and light boots.
Accessories: Wears a lot of silver jewelry. Has a silver collar-like choker on her neck, and where a ID tag would hang, hangs a clear sphere in a silver claw-like "hand" (like there would be four claw-ish things wrapping around this sphere to a little bit past the middle of it). Inside this clear spear is a light that resembles her own that she makes. If the collar or gem hanging in it breaks, she immeaditly turns into her serval form, her fur becomes ruffled, fangs get long and cause an over-bite out of her mouth, and eyes glow of that same purple color, and she looks very feral.

Combat & Abilities
Strength/Defensive Level: Strong in Strength, Less than Average in Defense.
Traits: Martial arts, slightly above average intellegence.
Powers: Hariko can turn into a serval. She can also create and control a purple celestial light. This light is the equivilent of a laser ray, except she CAN use it as just a light, with very little heat.

This light can take the shape of a purple fire-looking substance, or an orb of light, or a straight light, or a wave of light. It may even be like a blanket of light, and it always appears to have diamonds, or sparkles, scatteret throught it. She may also use it for a weak sheild, only protecting her against elemental attacks. A punch, kick, etc, could still get through this sheild, unless she uses the heat and more of her power to let it hold against psysical and mental attacks. The light can also cover parts of her body, but it can not burn her, since she is immune to her own attacks. Can see in the dark, . Telepathy/telekenisis. Has twice the speed of a normal person, can jump very high.

When she uses this power, her eyes get a little bit lighter and start to glow the same color as the light.

When in her serval shape, she can only use this power to have her claws grow a little longer, and be burning to the touch if she chooses, and engulfed in a flame. Also when in this form, it's much, much harder for her to hold up the barrier, which is why her speed increases by two once more. Has very weak telepathy, can read minds, and path her thoughts to people.
Weaknesses: When she is holding up her shield, she cannot do an attack, otherwise she will indefinatly pass out, from a time anywhere from 3-5 hours, and longer if she uses her powers a lot before the pass out. It requires quite a bit of her energy to make the light, so she uses her martial arts a lot.

With the smalles light orb she can make (Appx. 1 in wide), she can only hold it out for about an hour before getting tired. For the largest size (Appx. 2 ft wide), she can only keep it open for about 45 minutes. When it can burn, only about 20 minutes. Her sheild against elements she holds for no longer than 20 minutes, otherwise she gets very tired and usually blacks out. Her all around sheild she can hold out for about 10 minutes.

It is very easy for her to black out, because she lacks defense. When she gets hit, it does more damage than it would for a normal person.
Weapons: Kunai, Shuriken, 2 Dosu (Short Swords) kept at her sides.
