Personality: Leiko is incredibly cold. She sits in her own dark corner away from everyone else, for she isn't social at all. Doesn't even try to make friends, she's a cold, depressed, and quit person. Very arrogant, impatient, stubborn, and short tempered, she doesn't seem that way when you first meet her.

Leiko seems calm and emotionless, though if you ever get to know her and piss her off, she'll make your life living hell. If she is your friend, it isn't a real friendship. She tricks people and gain their trust, before taking what she wants from them and killing them off, or just double-crossing them. Usually Leiko doesn't resort to that and prefers just to stay in the shadows of her own dark world.

Leiko hates losing, and will beat herself up for losing because of her history. Cannot turn down a challenge, she will jump off a cliff if someone persuaded her enough, just to see their expressions of pure astonishment. She loves black roses, and the ambrosial scent of them lingers around her from her shampoo and clothing. Leiko likes poking fun at people she hates, just to piss them off. Usually, she also doesn't do that, being the dark, depressed, and angry person she is.

History: Tamasaki Leiko was a normal child born in Japan, where many mutants and other great fighters were. Leiko's father Tamasaki Yukio, started training her when she was very young, around the age of 3 or 4. She had loved him and her mother, who have always been supportive of her ambitions. Leiko was happy, training as hard as her father wanted her to. She enjoyed training and wanted to be powerful and skilled.

He trained her in hand to hand combat. He trained her with different weapons, mainly aiming with shurikens and kunai, how to catch them without getting hurt, and how to wield two short swords. He taught her where to hide, what to do in dangerous situations, and where to hit for critical hits. He taught her a lot of martial arts, making sure she would be one of the best.

Her mother gave her many books for her to read, teaching her logic, common sense, and anything else that would help her. She taught Leiko about everything her husband did not teach their daughter.

They always told Leiko he wanted her to become great, and that they would be there for her forever. Leiko quickly became strong, her powers manifesting at the age of 8. Her father was proud of this, saying it will make her even stronger. Leiko's mother said she was special, and she loved her for that. Leiko did become stronger, being a good match for her father at the age of 9. She even managed to beat him a few times, and he was not an easy opponent. Leiko’s mother was very supportive, telling her she shouldn’t push herself too hard, and that she was already great enough.

That was when what Leiko's father called destiny, began.

Leiko's father had put a kunai into Leiko's hand one night, guiding her towards her sleeping mother. She had been drugged by him, and Leiko’s father dragged his daughter towards his wife. Leiko had struggled, already having a strong feeling what her father wanted her to do. Her father was too strong, and forced Leiko to kill her own mother. It was his action, though it was done with Leiko's own hands.

That was when Leiko's father took her away, making her fight with other mutants for money. They were all mostly matches where they fought to the death or until the opponent can't fight anymore, and Leiko always won, though she came out mostly worn out and bleeding badly. She was nicknamed Black because she was emotionless, and got a tattoo to prove it was her nickname. She also got a black heart tattoo to match her own heart. Her father was proud of her, and soon he became rich because of his daughter, who loved, and hated, what she did at the age of 10.

Then there was one fight Leiko endured when she was 11, where she found out she was paranoid when she got surrounded with mist, which was her opponent's power. Leiko fought her hardest, trying to sense the enemy and attacking the best she could, though she couldn't see through the mist. Leiko ended up losing, coming out half dead. She was surprised she didn't die in the match, but her father was upset.

Leiko was already half dead, and her father ended up dragging her over to a lake, dunking her in and holding her there in the ice cold water. Leiko began to fear water then, almost drowning from the experience. After that Leiko's father had started beating her up, telling her he lost a lot of money and that she was a worthless tool now. Leiko became angered and took out her poison laced sword, stabbing her father in the stomach with her poison tipped short sword with no regrets.

Leiko ran back home and took all her father's fortune from her fighting and moved away from that place to the United States, into Bayville, where she heard others like her were around. She never used her power very much, and depended on her own skills. Now, she learned to love her powers, and use them well.

Appearance

Height: 5' 2"

Eyes: Piercing blood red eyes
Hair: Very dark purple hair down to her waist that looks like black. Leiko also has bangs that are long enough to cove her eyes. She ties up her hair with a blood red ribbon when in battle or in training.
Traits: Many scars cover her body, to remind her of the painful life she has endured when fighting the others at such a young age.

Leiko has a tattoo on the back of her right shoulder that reads her nickname, Black. Leiko also has a tattoo of a black heart below her left shoulder. Another tattoo of a black skull is on the left side of her neck, and it has the symbol for 'Caught' on it. Also has the same black skull tattoo on her forehead without the symbol on it, and it is always covered with her bangs. That is the only tattoo that shows slightly, and Leiko hates it. She also has a tattoo of a black rose on the right side of her hip. On her back, she has a large tattoo of a blazing black phoenix, a black rose going through its heart.
Overall Description: Leiko is physically fit and skinny. She is very strong, though it doesn't seem like she is because she is so skinny and short. Short since she's from Japan, and a lot of people underestimate her because of her small frame. She trains everyday, and keeps her body fit at all time. Very fast because of her size and weight.
Basic & Occasional Clothing: Leiko wears a completely black attire. She wears a short sleeved black turtleneck like shirt where the sleeve goes down to her elbow and black baggy pants and black tennis shoes. Also has a black vest like thing over the shirt. She tries to cover her scars as best as she can, not wanting to see or have other people see her painful memories. Has two black hip pouches, one on each side where she holds her weapons, and other items.

Accessories: Leiko has a blood red ribbon her mother gave her that she has in her pockets constantly to remind her of her. Also has black metal cuffs around her wrist.

Strength/Defensive Level:
Strength: Strong from her training.
Defense: Will fight till her death.
Traits: Very good at strategizing and martial arts along with gymnastics. Is pretty strong for her age and from her intense training. She fits in with the shadows perfectly and does track, so she's very stealthy. Also very good at lying and trickery. Can sense people around her also, and has skills of a ninja like speed, accuracy, stealth, and is good at jumping.
Powers: Leiko can make an illusion where a person, or a group of people 3 or less is surrounded by pure darkness. Flocks of black birds with flaming eyes that resemble a phoenix fly at the opponent, ripping through their body and mind over and over 57 times. It will leave the enemy exhausted, confused, and hurt mentally. Their body will feel like it's ripped apart by the sharp beaks, like their whole body is crumbling. It's just a mental trick though, but it does a lot to ones body. Also has a mental shield.
Weaknesses: Leiko is deathly afraid of fog. If she's in fog or mist, she'll shoot out random weapons, sensing someone there. After a period of time she will calm down, but if she stays in the fog she'll start getting nervous and is very prone to attacks. She isn't very stable emotionally, and if anyone that knows of her history reminds her of the painful memories, she'll get very angry and start attacking without thinking very much. Hates losing, she will beat herself up if she does lose. Hates light, Leiko will be blinded for a brief moment from sudden blasts of light.
Weapons: Leiko has two 8 inch long short swords that are tipped with deadly poison, along with shurikens and kunais that are laced with poison.
