I load up the game, I make my character, select my scenario and such, then I get to the game, where I'm on the world map, with my little character icon -- now here is where the problem arises -- none of my commands work... such as inventory, movement, or even the help menu -- the game does not seem to respond to my keystrokes... yet in the command window, when I press my keys, I see the command like that says something allong of the lines of "? for help" it scrolls everytime i hit a key, but nothing else works. Now it also seems when I pick a certain senario, sometimes i able to play the game, except I want to play the village senario, in the unreal world, with no tasks -- nothing responds.... please help

The food bars start completely black on a new game.

The rest of this sounds like either a botched installation, or installing a new version over a previous version.

did you get the new 3.04-1 from the main page?

Yes I did, I've uninstalled it and reinstall it many times... I'll try downloading again... see if that works.

what country are you in? i know that some games react differently to different keyboards, as some things are in different spots.

oddly enough, while i lived in the u.s. i couldn't get urw to work on my computer, though it didn't give me troubles with anything else. boy am i glad i moved back to finland :P

Canada, the thing is I had the game working, but I have to play around with the scenarios.... I just can't get it to work on the scenario I want to play on.... oh well, I'll give it a few more days, then move on to another game. shame, probably would have purchased this one

The same was reported below, in 'minor 3.04 bug'. I was getting this almost every time I tried to use / to examine something, and two or three times from other seemingly random actions in the game. Did you have any trouble closing the game? Task manager (for windows CTRL+ALT+DELETE) showed the game as responding, but it takes multiple 'End Now's to turn it off.

This never happened in earlier versions (or at least none I played, and I don't see any complaints of it before) so I doubt it's anything fundamental.
Give us more information on how the bug effected you, and you'll help yourself and all of us enjoy this game.

Yes I can't quit the game, I must ctrl-alt-del, and end now server times--what other details would you like -- like I stated, i can't played the game, and it doesn't respeond to any keystrokes...

Yes, I have also experienced this, but with no conclusive success. Sorry to not be able to help.

I have also tried to remove the savegame, save it, delete it, and then re-apply it with no success.

well, have you tried older versions?
no need to give up on the game just because a single version causes problems for you.

Yeah, I had the installer for an older version saved from when I first started, and that works fine. I'm sure this will be cleaned up pretty soon, and you can see by all these people it's worth having a deeper look at.
