Description: WinXP

Ok, I am not sure what is going on here. The unregistered game run like a charm, fullscreen or not. I just bought the game today, registered it and now the grafics are all messed up. Unplayable, blackscreens, screens not fully refreshing so the are stuck on top of new screens ect. I have win xp, using the latest version of the game; 3.03.1. I deleted the game, redownloaded it, played the demo version..no problems..so I redownloaded the registeration, registered it then..same deal grafics dont work. Any ideas? It isnt my settings, because it works fine as demo, it has to be a problem with the registration files or something..

Ok, I can get the windowed mode to work ok now. Fullscreen on, on2 and on3 all still have the grafics issues mentioned in my previous post. The demo still runs in fullscreen mode without problems. I can play now, but I will go blind soon if I can't fix this. My monitor was set to 1600 by 1200, though I have set it to 800 by 600 and still have problems.

Mmm, try copying your save file to another directory, deleting your UrW folder, reinstalling, registring, and then copying your save folder back.

yea, if you're just installing over old installs, this isn't too unusual.

No,

I deleted every file for URW, saves also and even did a reg sweep to rid any traces. Still have the problem, but have set my desktop resolution to 800 by 600 so I can fake a fullscreen mode.

when was the last time you got drivers for your video card?

I'm kinda running out of ideas here, so getting to the most basics.

Nah, video card drivers are current. I am using a ATI 900x btw. None of that should matter really, as I said, the game runs fine fullscreen in demo ver, it doesnt work in the registered version. Also, as I said there is no problems in windowed mode, just fullscreen..the issue, something, I dont know what is being changed by REGISTERURW.exe effecting either the framerate or display properties. I have never had this kind of problem with any game, even the most current, "eye candy" games like FEAR, MTW II ect, so not sure what the bottom line is, hoping the game maker will give a response to my email or this thread...

What about starting a new game? Does that work?

"I deleted every file for URW, saves also and even did a reg sweep to rid any traces."

(that includes save files, so ya had to start a new game). :)

Very strange since the registration itself doesn't do anything for the graphics of the game. Please do e-mail me directly, and we'll see how to fix this. Thanks.

Sami killed my prblems with one shot. Nice! Turns out the problem was me..heh. Extracting the registration files into my URW folder. Problem fixed, thanks.

dangit... I had just thought of that as I was rereading before getting to you and sami.
my newest guess was either the wrong version of the reg program, or putting the reg prog and stuff directly in the folder. :P
