Hi all, I hope you lot are willing to help a newbie here.

I got the game not long ago. After fiddling around trying to get it working ok on my machine I finally got round to playing it just now.

I dont know where to start. I have read the FAQ which was linked from the official site. It says zoom into the terrain and find some trees and hit Alt-J and then get some branches.

Well Alt-J brings up the hideworking menu. What am I missing?

I think that's because the faq was written for an older version of URW... You can press shift+S to see and use all your skills, and that list also shows the actual quick-keys (alt+letter) for every skill. And you should check out the in-game list of commands (type the question mark, '?', for that.
