Well my friend and I both love The Unreal World and in writers craft at school we were required to write haiku's. We decided that we would write a series of Haiku's about our adventures in URW (The mushroom bit is fabricated). :P
Frozen tree's shimmer
I have frostbite in my skull
Now it hurts to think
My father is dead
We were hunting wolverines
I am a native
I carved the corpse up
The raw flesh made me vomit
My dad tastes aweful
I reach a village
Some moron stole my lumber
I will slaughter him
The scared tribesman flees
With my morningstar held high
I bashed his skull in
I can carry lots
I can carry tree's and boats
Damn, I am a tank
I found a mushroom
I put it into my mouth
Now I cannot see
I can't heal my sight
My physician skill sucks arse
Being blind really sucks
My weapon dropped down
A bear roared ferociously
I punched its hind legs
The bear mauled my dad
The bear severed my left arm
The bear bit my face
Squirrel is pissed off
Don't chew on my ankle bone
I never woke up
Stone axe really sucks
There is only so much time
Quit, save and reload
I love URW
Eat mushrooms to become one
Gods like me more now
B)
Beware the cripples
Against the cripple-squirrel
Army, you can't win
Posting a few from an earlier topic.
These first two are definitely written from a Njerpez point of view.
My knife is so sharp
It cuts men of Kaumo deep
Perkele, I yell
(Per-ke-le has three syllables, just so you know... Kau-mo has two. Wasn't really sure how to count them in this case, but decided to do it like this.)
We built our camp here
and then set the woods on fire
Now we have no camp
These other two are more generic.
I was so hungry
that I risked some raw mushrooms
Unboiled laurm be damned!
Once I had a pig
which was to be my next meal
Man, pigs sure hit hard
