Title: My Wife Is Cheating On Me!

i can't beleive it! i found a beautiful woman and fell in love. she was wonderful, giggled every time we talked. i gave her food, clothes, furs, jewelry. i talked her up and flirted until she agreed to be my wife. thrilled, i took her home.

home for me is the Njerpez village where i had been enslaved. i had broken free of my captors and slain them all (except one, who ran away in fear of my wrath). my home contained a pen for cattle and one for pigs, three small huts and a kailyard of veggies.

the first evening i lay down in a hut with my new wife to sleep. i woke up in the morning thrilled to wake up beside my beutiful bride. then i took her on a tour of my property, showing her the cows she would milk and the garden she would tend. when we walked up between the cow byre and the hut, everything was fine. but when i turned around to take her back to our hut, i was shocked to find a burning fire outside in the meadow. near this i found loaves of bread, turnips, sides of beef and TWO mugs of mead. i tell you, brothers, i know for a fact that my woman did not have any of these things when we came to my home.

my wife could not have brought these things here, nor started the fire, as she did not carry any firewood. obviously, someone else has been come to my happy home, with naughty thoughts. i haven't found the fiend who sought to wine and dine my bride, but believe me, i am searching! and when i find him, may the spirits have mercy on him, because i surely won't!

who will hunt with me, brothers, for this cuckold who would steal my bride from my own bed? i am offering many elk hides for the head of this scoundrel, whether attatched to his body or not - preferably not. may the forest fall down upon his head, may the fox and the reindeer avoid him, may the bear and the lynx haunt him to the end of his days! death to the wife stealers!

I'll make you a deal. Stay offa my land and I'll stay offa yours. If your wifes comes to my land, though, I can't be held responsible for what happens to her. And if she does, for Chrissake tell her to take off her boots!

 tomn, you auld rogue! i should have known it was you! well, all i can say is that if she comes your way again, you can keep the fickle wee besom. i've got my eye on a younger one from the nearby village anyway. ;)

does anyone know what happens if you try to wed a maiden when you're already married? will number one wife try to kill me or will the second maiden remain just my mistress, refusing to marry me? not that i'm complaining, mind, but the thought occured to me that keeping two women and two households in food and furs could be a new challenge to the game.... especially if in later versions sami added the ability to raise families.

 you're what?!?! again??! but i've been off hunting for six months!!!! tomn!!

that's ok, if she gets to be too much bother to keep i'll just send her along to you, mate. and the kids, too. and i'll make sure every one has brand new boots ;)
