Title: The Tale Of Esa-pekk
Description: Work in progress tale

Esa was brought up in a large village he belonged to the Seal-Tribe who were extraordinary fishermen, the village was on an island that was connected under water to the mainland, this is the main reason the tribe were great fishermen and also why there was a large harbour for the traders that came to purchase fish and sell their foreign trinkets. But in this island village lived a boy of young age, his father was one of the greatest fishermen among the clan and he wanted his son to carry on the family business. The child was called Esa-Pekk, his father was called Eeva, but his mother died when he was just a baby, he inherited a lot if his qualities from his mother including his culinary expertise, before she died his mother cleaned the fish his father brought home with a masters skill. Esa asked his father if he would ever see beyond the horizon of the lake, his father didn't want to leave this island that he himself grew up on, and he didn't particularly want his son to leave so he told him maybe, in an attempt to not encourage him. They years past and Esa hadn't forgotten about the mainland, during the years traders came and went but one group interested Esa as they brought trinkets he had never seen the likes of before, Esa was 13 when those traders came and was almost ready to begin his apprenticeship as a fisherman but seeing what he saw the traders had with them excited him more about the mainland, he asked the traders about 3 strange swords they had, despite the few they owned they were very valuable to a collector, the traders told him that they were once owned by great warriors called the Njerpez who were fierce warriors who enslaved and slaughtered without delay, only a few people had ever fought these great warriors and lived, they explained that some people who were captured managed to escape but few who did survived as they were poorly fed and clothed and only a few had weapons or tools. The traders told Esa that they acquired these swords from a great hero, who's family were murdered by the Njerpez and he dedicated his life to revenge, killing every one of those mercenaries he found, he was accompanied by a horse of great strength and speed, he named him Paastota Heroiini which translated into Fast Horse, seeing as the horse was his only companion and he spent his days tracking Njerpez warriors he didn't have much of a poetic flourish so he called the horse the only name he could think of at the time, the traders also mentioned another hero who battled evil with his companion who happened to be a lynx that cared for him when he was abandoned after his parents were killed, he also learnt of his parents death and also fought the ones who killed his parents, Esa was interested in both tales but sadly the traders knew no more than that they had already told him, this upset Esa as he loved to hear the stories of the elders and wise men in the village, but the prospect of a new tale from the mainland excited him more than anything else, even the strange swords of the Njerpez.......

Thus ends this installation of Esa-Pekk's tale stay tuned for more (When I actually think of it and I have to log off the computer now anyway, hope getting it in parts isnt annoying) thanks for reading constructive critisism welcomed.

Nice story but too soft. I mean he was not so brave or hard. The first story in here was good. Your storys begining was ok. I did like it.

Why do all heroes have to be hard and brave? I'd rather a hero for once who was human, with human fears, flaws and fantasies. Also, you have to take into account in your critique that most of these stories are all written by people who do not speak English as a primary language. You yourself admitted your English wasn't stellar but by writing stories such as this it certainly serves to help expand ones ability.

Thank you for your 'reviews' I promise there is another part coming, I have just had alot on my plate right now. And Aries I agree with you that seeing as alot of people here don't speak English as a primary language they write extrodinary stories, I myself am English but the fact remains the same. And to Mosku, stories need not be about brave heros, they could mearly be about some one who does somthing important even if it comes from cowardice. In any case Im glad you liked it.

PS. A new installment will be coming but I have ALOT of stuff to work out in my life which takes priority.
