I've got a character going pretty well, and I'm trying to train his bow skill. The only decent means I've found to train was to dig a long line of pits outside a Njerpez war camp and fire volley after volley as the warriors approached. 6 Njperpez later, I've gone from 50 to 53.

Does anyone have any tips on building bow skill more quickly?

Your way actually sounds pretty effective. I usually just hunt with a bow for a while, after I've made a few good kills I get an increase.

I could be very wrong about this, but in my experience a crappy hand made short bow is better for getting skill increases than a well made one like a northern bow because the short bow does less damage. Less damage means more chances to use your skill. Anyone happen to know if this isn't the case?
