in past versions i've been able to build fences where an item already lies on the ground and never had any problem. now that we can build fences and delete the hill/rock/bush/whatever underneath it it also will delete any other item that happens to be on the ground at the time. i had intended to wander off to do some other stuff while i waited for the furs to tan and the meat to smoke, so without thinking i built a fence to protect the furs... and they disappeared. boy am i mad at myself. and to top it all off i can't deconstruct a fence i built myself while in the village so i can't even get my stakes back :angry: growl.... time for another beer ;)
