While trying to split boards from a trunk of wood using a stone axe it took 80 or so hours and i died of dehydration .. dont know if this is a bug or just game play
Uh...80 hours straight without stopping? I'd say it's not a bug...in fact I would even say that 80 hours working non-stop like that would be way too much...
On the other hand, the stone axe sucks a bit too much to be of any use...ever. Even a flint axe would be way more effective and this is supposed to be the iron age already.

I'll have to add some maximum time limit for the jobs - and if the result of used tools and the task in progress takes very long (like in the example here) they are considered pratically impossible.
Splitting boards with a stone-axe is really a mission impossible - or a mission of days, as the time calculation here shows.
I'm not sure what would be involved coding wise, but a way to pause and resume tasks would be nice. That way you could do anything with any tool if you were willing to spend several days doing it.
