Title: Prone Party Member Cant Get Up
Wuffell - April 26, 2008 01:22 AM (GMT)
this is weird ...
You see here pale, sweating, prone lying 'ahti' the kiesselais adventurer with light injuiries (party member).
he fell down while we were in a fight, and he hasnt gotten up. he sometimes moves along beside me but i think he needs to get up!! is this a bug, or can i command him to get up somehow?

Maybe he's too injured to be able to stand?

I'd bet on the injuries, since I've had party members stand up after being knocked down...
but something could've been accidentally changed regarding this, so we'll see what Sami says.

Anyone who is pale and sweating is unconscious. I don't think the game actually ever allows anyone to regain consciousness.
(I actually knocked a fox unconscious just the other day by throwing a rock at him and hitting him in the groin. Good for a couple minutes of laughter.)

he still talked to me and said he would leave me after three more days ... useless guy! hmm ...
the game needs to allow things to regain consciousness. i might just kill him ...

I know things never used to get up after being "pale and sweating", but I havent tested it in this latest version.
I have however seen sheep get knocked down and stay down for several days and then get up, but they werent sweating when I examined them. They healed up too, from grievous wounds to light wounds. It took a while though, I healed up from 60% damage to 5% damage in the same time.
Why was I injured and the sheep knocked down, you ask? Combat training. Suit up in furs for protection, wrestle 3 of em with my bare hands. 100% dodge makes you so much more durable in combat, and having 100% unarmed skill can save your life when disarmed against a pissed off njerpez.
