Aaaaah. Just got home from work, kicked up my heels, and the first thing I'm listening to is:

"Between Love & Fire" - After Forever

Gotta love the opening to this song with the acoustic guitar and well done synth. I could do without the growly vocals, but a good song nonetheless.

who's after forever? never heard of them. what kind of music is it?

After Forever is a metal band, though I'm not sure which subgenre of metal they are. The only band I could compare them to right off hand that you might know is Nightwish. After Forever is typically slower, though. In most of their songs they use classical instruments such as violins, oboes, etc. There's a female who usually does quasi-operatic vocals and a guy that does harsh vocals. I don't really like AF or Nightwish though, because I can't really stand operatic vocals or especially harsh vocals. ._.

I'm listening to "Ginger" by Xandria. Man, I always underrate Xandria until I hear something from them, and then I'm like, "man, what a great band." They're like symphonic rock.

chili peppers, another decent band. they have quite a few good songs. although i cant remember them. i do like fort minor. one of the linkin park spinoffs.

Maaaan, great stuff. I had this song looped earlier today for about an hour. >>; Still not tired of it. xD

"Waracle" - Ayreon

Awesome song from beginning to end. Gotta love that creepy synth that plays at various parts throughout the song. The vocalist is something I'd expect more to be in blues or jazz or something, but I think it really works out well here. :D
