The Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11's. A Britannian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he'd destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11's who've stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Britannian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power of Geass, which makes anyone obey any order. While Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Britannia's brand new prototype Knightmare, Lancelot, Lelouch becomes the masked knight Zero to lead the rebellion to destroy Britannia once and for all.

Actually, I only downloaded the first episode because I saw some pictures and thought it had pretty art. I had no idea what it was about. xD So, I can say I had a pleasent surprise. ^-^

Only saw the first two episodes. Lelouche really reminds me of Raito Yagami. o-o; Lloyd is funny and cool... reminds me of Fye. xD; Suzaku's sweet. x3

And some uniforms... purple/pinkish weird colour with yellow... please... xD;

I love it. Great series and story/plot. It's great to see @ SUNRISE and CLAMP working together.
The ratings on ANN are very good, so I would recommened the series who ever is a fan of Gundam Seed/Destiny.

Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch) and Takahiro Sakurai (Suzaku) were perfect for the roles, although they've been partners for some time, already. Lelouch is my favourite character~ Then Suzaku..

Without having to download 'mkv' files, does anyone know where I can download the subbed episodes in avi format? It is getting a bit off-putting seeing the episodes in RAW format and love to watch it subtitled. Thanks if everyone can help.

I downloaded all my Code Geass episodes from FanSub TV. You need to download a CCC Pack if you want to download the MKV files. It also plays AVI and RM.
Here's a website I found that could be useful since it carries the lastest episodes. I don't know if the person updates regulary, but it's worth it, I guess. Link. RM Format.

I'm just curious. I downloaded Epi. 12-13 last week ago and I noticed it had no subs. Even, though FanSub TV and some other websites titled it 'subbed' but, that was kind of weird. Has the sub group stopped subbing the episodes or is it just my problem?

As of Epi. 14. I see Lelouch x Shirley's relationship one step ahead. I agree. They're not really made for each other. My other reason is because, Shirley is too whiney. However, I see it as a GS/D flow. Lelouch x Shirley [Shinn x Stellar/Kira x Fllay] then (maybe) Lelouch x Kallen [Shinn x Luna/Kira x Lacus].

I agree with F_S with the GSD pairing being compared to CG pairing XD

Awww. If you saw Epi. 15 then you will understand why he loves C.C. so much. He might think of her as an older sister or a mom, judging by those clips. Also, Mao died very early.. [probably, a cliffhanger] I wanted to know him better. SUNRISE has rushed alot of open scenes. Disapointing.

So. There's nothing wrong with your taste in music, just the singer. I don't know if you/or others have heard her other songs, but she uses alot of ''aahh'' if you also noticed at the beginning of the CG OP. Very strange tone. Although, she sang ok in one of the Blood+ OP's.

I love Code Geass. It's my anti-drug right now. Particularly SuzaLulu, but, hey, what can you do? As for the music, I don't pay much attention to it. I do like the first opening song, though. The new one I'm not so sure about, and I haven't listened to the endings at all.

I'm starting to wish GG subbed faster, though. It's already up to episode 19, and they only put out 18 yesterday. Oh well. At least they're quality subs, right? And 18 was definitely worth the wait.

[spoiler]Though I'm still a bit suprised that Lulu Geass'd Suzaku. I wasn't expecting that at all. I hope it doesn't hinder their developing romance at all. xD[/spoiler]
