Mama! don't go...please..I need you still! The cubs head swam as so many diffrent emotions ran through her heart. Dad! Not you too! Stop stop come back! As the flash backs played in her mind her eyes staring unseeing ahead. She swayed on her feet, stabbing pain behind her eyes blinding her momentarily. "Hush child. It will be alright. I am here for you." The golden voice of her father brought the cubs eyes back into focus. No your not! you left me! Lelani growled her teeth clenched. "Wheres mommy?! Where is she? She said she would be here when I woke up!" "Lelani momy had to go away.."
Lelani stopped and sat herself down blinking a few times before lookoing around her. Where ever she was the scent of lions ws strong. She hadn't noticed it before. Her heart swelled with hope. Maybe she could find a home here until she was strong enough to go out and find her mother. Then they could live together and be happy. A smile flickered across Lelanis features and the false hope in her chest willed her to get up and carry on.

Lelani called out as she drew nearer to the dens. A small little yelp to signel her arrival. Her heart thumped wildly in her tiney chest. What if there was no one here? What if they had all left? Lelani blinked back tears. No she must be strong, she must not cry. Babys cryed Even though she was young, too young to be without her mother. She was no baby. She was stronger then that.
Exoustion gripped her muscles, and she called dout again, desperation masking her pathetic mew.

Scrith walke forwards, a bird on his head. the bird was baoutot fly off. Scrith, the demanted zebra, cried out. "No, No please don't go!" He shouted, tossing his head as if ot keep the bird form going. with a flap of its wings the finch was gone "He was my only freind..." sighed scrith. Scrith was only a foal, a demented, seranged, tottaly out of it foal who talked ot his thoughts, who he made tlak back. He looked at the lion cub. no idea what it was. he decided to speak hsi htoughts. "Litsen, I dunno what you are, but I want you to tel me... what are you... my thought number one said your a m-mu-t-tay-mutateeed zebra." Scrith snorted, tossing his short mane up while his black lips curled back.

BIC: Lelani looked up as the zebra foal walked up. Her lipc curled back in a snarl and a low growl erupted in her throat.
At his question she blinked and lokoed down at her paws for a moment. "I-I don't know.." She admited with a frown. "What are you?" She asked back looking up at the zebra. Even though he was just a foal he still stood much higher then the small cub.

BIC: lelani raised an eye brow and gave him a 'your-crazy' look before looking back towards Ari. "Who lives over there?" She asked liftng her paw and pointing it in the direction of the dens.

She was about to say she wasn't a zebra and then attempt to bite the foals ankles off but she stopped. What was she? She new what her kind looked like but just not what they where called. "Uh..Ok." She said a bit reluctently. Her head ached and every part of her body screamed for sleep. Maybe she could sleep there? where ever this strange animal was taking her. "Sure lead the way." She grumbled casting a longing look at Ari before looking back at Scrith.

"I'd be glad to guide you, follow the un deranged, not funny looking zebra, come on, don't be shy!" Zcrith snorted, tossing his head back and forth as he did a full jog in place. he trotted forwards, cantering with hsi sharp hooves. "SCrithy scrith scrith SCRITHYY" he was siging, so over joyed with himself he forgot he was suppose to d osomthing. he fell on his isde. knocked out from moving to fast. he got up. "DUDE there was this white light, and then my body floated, then i woke up!" Scrith panted, getting up a second later form his faint. he looked confused... what was happening... oh wait... oh.. yeah lead the demented zebra. "Right 'o, folow me now, Scrithy scrith!" Scrith panted trotting twaords ari.

Lelani just watched him with guarded blue orbs. "O....k." She stammered and followed aftfer Scrith.

Scriuith was paddlign forwards, his head spinning in a circle a he hummed yankee doodle. He trotted, lifting his hooves high so he looked liek a royal arrabian horse... yeah he walways wnated to be one, to bea rock. they sit all day, having fun. Scrith came to a stop. "Deranged zebra, my freind, are you hungy?"

"Uhh yea I am hungry." Lelani admited, lertting forth a huge yawn. "And sleepy." "How much farther is this place?" Lelani asked, yawning again. All she wanted to do is sleep..

Lelani looked around "Eat what?" She said blankly. She did not know any other form of food besides the warm milk from her mother. At the thought of her mother a shrp pang resurficeed in her heart and Lelani curled up in the grass staring into space, her blue eyes glassy with unshed tears.

"Be right back.." Scrith said, scampering away. and just his luck.... some african men left a MILK BOX.scrith loked a the box, confused. "what thell is that." He growled, kicking it around till it hit lelani on accident. "Oh.. im sorry.... theres osmthing inside it.. i don't know though, im guesssing beetles!"

Lelani jumped up and let forth a small yelp of pain as the box bounced off her head. She turned to Scrith and growled cubbishly at him. "I don't want what ever is in that box!" She hissed. Her fur standing on end, making her look like a small golden marshmellow. "I don't want to go with you to your herd! I'm not a zebra or whatever! I just-" She stopped and looked down at her paws, her golden eyes narrowed in hate. "I don't even want to be here." She said waving a paw around. "I need a home with others like me." She explained a little softer now.
"Have you seen any others like me? Maybe ones with lots of fur around there head." She said trying her best to explain a lions mane.

well.... okay well theres this big drama, so kafei left his hot mate neara for the other lioness chicka, right? and he told chicka he loved her while neara was giving brith, i know like oh. my.gosh. so neara was all crying when kafei told her, she wasalreayd pissed at him for missin the birth and all, and then she meets her child hood crush, denya! i think thatsh is name, and i see a little thing goin on between the two.

Lelani pulle dher paws back and dropped to her all fours again. "Sorry.." She said lokoing to the side. "So do you know where Neara is?" She asked again looking back up at him with bright eyes.

"Yes, and i will take oyu to her humble majesty." Nodded scrith viorusly, ears wobbling like heck. he put on a funny little grn. "of we go now!"

out of no where a liones apeared, her ears pinned back as she saw a zebra, DINNER, she launched ehrself at the zebra, her teeth barring as her white stomach shined.

"no, my majesty, neara, whatever you want to be called by, NO!" scrith neighed, trying to run away as the lioness, still with pregnacy fat, launched herself at him.

Lelani watched in horror. "Wait!" She roared as loud as she could. "Don't eat him!" She ran up and tryed to tap Neara with her paw to get her attention. "Miss Neara!" She called in her ear.

NEara stopped and watch SCrith run around yelling "Scrithy scrith scrith" in horror." litsen, i have cubs, im hungry, my cubs need to eat, i need to eat so i havemilk for my cubs, what the heck do oyu want." NEara growled, a bit angry cause of kafei still. she watched the cub, noticing it was only a cub. "poor baby, wheres your mother?" neara suddenly said, lighting up as she gave the cub rough licks on the head cleaning it, yes neara LOVES cubs.

Lelani closed her eyes at Neara groomed her gritty fur, she could almost imagine her own mother grooming silky cubbish fur and telling her only child storys about when she was a pridelander and went on all sorts of adventures. Mommy when I grow up I wanna be just like you![
. "My moms dead." Lelani growled, her fantasy shattering into a million peaces. "I don't have anywhere too go. We were outsiders." Lelani's blue eyes hardened and she looked down at the ground accusingly. As if it was all to blame.

After a moment of silance Lelani looked up at Neara with large cubbish blue eyes.
"Miss Neara?" She asked hesatating as she formed the words.
"I-I wantto stay here. With you."

neara was grooming the cub mroe feircly now. she looked up at her question. she gave a smile she opened her muzzle, then closed it, then opene4d and said "yes, you can. Are you hungry?" NEara asked softly, lying on her sside and giving a lazy gesture at her stomach which contained much milk.

[Rakka]

lelnai smiled faintly and began to suckle hungerly, the warm milk soothing her sore throat and quenching her thirst. She closed her eyes sleepily slowly drifting into a souund sleep. For the first time in a long time she felt safe.
