Anyway, being desperate for help and wanting to save TCW, I conversed with a friend of mine on another board, the Frointer. This friend is a forum eltile, and is a famed guy over there. He was moderator for several games, and I invited him to check out TCW, and come up suggestions. Here is our resulting conversation.

I need the approval of Alteven to change this game into a geopolitical game. But this is promising, and I think only a restart can save TCW. This means everything that happens in the game is earsed, and start over. I think this is a good idea. Any ideas? Please appect.

A restart earses all stats. That is what a restart does. However, in DasKasier's ideas, we would ALL be running nations, not warriors. This means that if we follow DasKasier's ideas, warriors would not exist. We would be generals. Of course, we could be generals who could attack each other, but after the restart, we lose everything but the great memories. :)

There is a second opionion. We can do the HW apporch, (only Altevin and Ben would know what HW is), which is restart often, but always keep stats of the warriors....DasKasier, a veteran in running games, do not agree, however. So, if we are going to approve this suggestions (which we have no other choice since if we don't, we wont get any new members), get ready to run your own empire!

Ick. A "restart" would help nobody. It might spur existing members to reclaim what was theirs before, but it would attract nobody new, and we would be back to square one. This is already a Geopolitical game, with relations between the empires and wars, and trade in the works. However, TCW is stretched to breaking point due to Benandorf's point-blank refusal to do anything involving work. I suspect he has some kind of "control thing" which is why he won't turn over power to anybody despite his obvious unwillingness to do his modly duties. But it is killing the game. Every day I am forced more and more to consider the possibility that this game has been on borrowed time from the start. We simply cannot hold up the game without benandorf and/or a very large supply of fresh blood.

Back to my other point. We, the same mods, cannot hold this game up with the same material inddefinately. We need a revolutionary new step, someone who can make this game the best it can be without destroying the existing foundation. We need a new mod.

Which is why I talked to DasKasier. He is an expert in running games. What he is telling me to add new moderators and change the focus of the game. Then again, Altevin, you are right. Changing the foundations will be hard. It is right to say that we need a new modeator, but tell me...where? I think maybe DasKasier might help us out. We do have to erase the Artiemus Flow books-based storyline so Kasier might be able to help us. He is an expert at fourm games and can help us get us succesful.

If we can't get Das Kasier to help us, then what else? We know of no messiah person, and we don't have enough time! TCW is dying.

Benendorf, the true and inactive head mod has given me premission to restart, but not to change the rules.

I got a suggestion, why dont we just CHANGE THE HEAD MOD <_< ? i dont wanna by a general. the game just wont be the same :unsure: . Alvtion and Gelrog are already generals. I what about the fariys? 2 people are playing fariys (me and alvition). If we became generals we would rule to diff areas. I want to play with frinds as well aganist them. This is my only MMORPG (even if its not really a game). I have a bunch of stratigy games already. You have to consantly add new units, make maps, write rules for cover, etc. I like strat games, but they take alot of constant work.

DasKasier ran sevarl games, and was an infulencal modeator. He work long and hard and I seen his work. He came up with rulesets, and...he has the most time. DasKasier is a Frointer Elitle on the Frointer Fourm so he is well-resepectd.

My idea is to bring in DasKasier as the head modeator and allow him to do what he think can save TCW. He is our only real hope. If anyone else want to take up the cursed mantleship of modeatrion, speak up, and offer references. DasKasier ran games and had experince. Nobody who appiled does.

According to DasKasier, restarting is better because nobody has to browse through the required data to learn, and it is hard to attract new people. New blood is the lifeline for TCW. A restart is the only thing we can do. Nobody wants to go through a game with much history. If we restart, we can help attract more people. That is why I agure for a restart. There is nothing else to really do.

Well, I give up on TCW. if I contact DasKaiser, he never gets on, I'll tell him to come, but I doubt he will.

Anyway, I formally resign. I belive this game has no future, unless DasKasier take up the throne, or someone more compenemnt does.
