MOVEMENT: Simply state you are moving to another area. The map should be up in a bit.

COMBAT: Unlike the Chaos war, this game revolves more heavily around group tactics. Players should try to coordinate their strategies for maximum effectiveness. I will try to provide descriptions of enemy formations during a battle.

LEGIONS: While an individual player can adventure solo, it is seldom a good idea. If you look at the classes below, it should be obvious that they are ment to work as a team and cover eachother's weaknesses. For this purpose, players can team up and form legions; small armies of multiple classes.
NOTE: As the sole exeption, the area immediantly around towns is generally safe fror soloing.

FAME: A legion that is constantly victorious in battle will gain fame over time. When a legion gains 100 fame, they may endeavor to become a nation by capturing a Castle. But beware, these castles are heavily defended. And when I say heavily, I actually mean
HEAVILY!!!!!!!
So think twice before launching an attack. Once a legion has gained empire status, they may use fame to buy a few weak soldiers. You can only gain fame from battles with high profile bandits, other legions & empires, and a few other groups.

WEAPONS, TOMES, AND ITEMS: For a player to fight, they need a weapon or tome, depending on class. Items also can have various helpful effects. All of these can be used a certain nuber of times before they are broken. These are listed besides their descriptions below, and I will inform you of how much wear it takes.

CLASSES:
Cavalier-A mounted knight, can use lances and swords. 21 HP
*Paladin-A promoted cavalier. Can use all weapons. 32 HP
Knight-A powerful fighter. Well armed and armored, but veeeery sloooow. 30 HP

*Swordmaster: Promoted Myrmadon. 24 HP
Nomad: A mounted archer. 19 HP
*Nomad trooper: A promoted nomad. 25 HP
Troubador: a mounted staff user. Decent speed. 16 HP

PROMOTION: When a character reaches level 10, they/their legion may either quest for or otherwise recieve a special item that allows them to be promoted. After promotion, they become level 1 of their new class.

Classes start with the first weapon on their respective list. (i.e. mages start with fire)

The legion of the dragon, as first legion, is starting on the Sacae plains. Relatively safe, but bandits abound. No real map yet, so you can move to:
Bern mountains
Mani Katti shrine
West Caelin

You might want to try out a battle before you run off...

ANNOUNCEMENT: Yes, the "dragon's fury" part of the title does have relevance...I just don't know what yet. Be on your guard.

EDIT: Forget it, you guys aren't getting out of here without a scuffle.

The wagon owned by the Legion of the Dragon trundled down the road. Some walked beside it, some rode in it. SuperMario, the mighty knight, polished his Iron lance (how do you polish iron??). Falforn the Legion's sole Anima Mage, sat on a trunk and studied his ancient Fire tome. Gelrog the archer counted his arrows and talked loudly, annoying everyone, while Valfor the Cavalier rode his horse and plotted against him with Falforn. Benandorf the Shaman stood in the front and wondered what lay over the next hill. A lone mage sudddenly climbed over the hill in question, followed by a pink-haired Cleric, who seemed to be jabbering something about how generous she was to have healed him for free. The Mage picked up his pace but slowed down again when he neared the group.
"Are you headed east?" Benandorf admitted they were.
"There's bandits a few miles down the road. We barely escaped...so now I have to listen to Serra whine about it. Good day". He walked off, with the Cleric following him and saying something that sounded like "ohthatwasexitingwasntitimquitegenerousaren'tIwellyouearnedityouweresocoolouttherebythewayaren'tyousogladtoseeme?"
The group continued, but about half an hour later, they were stopped by a fallen tree, which seemed to have been cut down.
"What would anyone want to block the road for?" Said Falforn. The answer eminated from the foliage.
"Why I would." Several bandits emerged from the bushes.
"Now just hand over your gold and noone gets hurt. Books too, ladies" Said the leader, nodding to Benandorf and Falforn.

ENEMY ASSESMENT:
Axemen, lots of 'em. They are in a straight line in front of the barricade. There are also 2 archers behind the tree, out of range of your melee fighters.

gelrog - February 28, 2004 03:01 AM (GMT)
So how do we fight? If we just say what we are doing then i am going to attack one of the archers. none shall pass the arrow of gelrog. And why do i have to be the annoying one?

Altevin - February 28, 2004 01:41 PM (GMT)
Considering you go to school with me... :)

gelrog - February 28, 2004 03:58 PM (GMT)
Whatever. But how do we beat the crap out of the enemy?

I.E.

Valfor - February 28, 2004 11:56 PM (GMT)
I change my mind I am going solo. I am still a Cavalier.

gelrog - February 29, 2004 01:26 AM (GMT)
OK. I will Attack the archers by moving as close as i can to them and let loose a volley of arrows and complain loudly about having to waste my arrows on stupid bandits. After hitting one of them I will hit the other and attack the first one. I will reprat untill they are defeated. If i am hurt badly i will retreat and use a vulenary(if available) and move back in to attack.

Valfor - February 29, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
So since I am a cavalier i guess I have a iron sword and lance to start out with. On with the ride.

RTQ

While I was riding along the road about noon, I heard some rusling about a mile up. I rushed up ahead to found out what was the problem. The closer I got the louder things got and I started to hear voices and yelling. I finally got to me destination and saw a straight line a bandet axemen. In two seperate trees I saw two archers. There was a baracade on the other side of the bandets. They were attacking a legion. I needed to find out who it was.

Strat:
It looked like they were taking out alot of men and an archer was hit by a volley of arrows. So...I will rush in on my horse and sling out my lance. While charging with just barly being noticed I will take out atleast two of the axemen. I will then swoop around and get my sword out and rush to the center so I can destract them so that the legion can charge in. Just hoping that the other archer has been taken out by now I will defend myself with my sword swinging at anything that comes my way. I will keep doing this until the battle is over or until I die.

Benandorf - February 29, 2004 05:50 PM (GMT)
I am assuming I have flux. Anyways, SuperMario, try to block any direct attacks, but their axes are strong to your lance. Falforn, take out the axemen, and have some others help you. Anyways, that's it for orders, be creative.

Strat:
I will Move directally beside the archer, so he can't counter attack, and blast him with flux so fast he can't move. After I defeat him, I will pull back behind Super Mario. After a while, I will go to the max range of my flux and attack the axemen, so they can't counter attack.

You can't exist in the same point in time/space as a giant fallen tree <_<

Benandorf - March 2, 2004 02:01 PM (GMT)
*sigh* Fine, I'll just hit him with flux rapidly.

Altevin - March 6, 2004 01:56 PM (GMT)
I need strats from a majority of the legion before I post results.

Altevin - March 15, 2004 11:17 PM (GMT)
Fine...

Benandorf: We need to talk, I think you know why.

The battle was short but furious. The enemy archers fired a few volleys but were then combusted by Arrows and spells. The strange cavalier charged in, skewering two of the axemen before slaying another with his sword. SuperMario absorbed a few attacks before crushing the survivors. The legion gets 1000 gold, and everyone gets 25 EXP.

It's up to you from now on. Discuss where you want to go next, and may the force be with you.

gelrog - March 15, 2004 11:20 PM (GMT)
How much exp. till next level?

Benandorf - March 19, 2004 07:52 PM (GMT)
Question: If we get AI units, who gets to control them, the leader of the legion? *crosses fingers*

Story:
Benandorf, the Leader of the legion, slowly moved towards the Cavalier.
His strange voice rang out, "Hello good warrior, how is it that you have come appon us? Would you wish to join our small company of fighters? We could use one with the speed and skill such as yours.

After his answer, let's go after the viciously fast talking girl.

Valfor - March 20, 2004 06:33 PM (GMT)
I shall join your legion because I have no other to go to. I acsept your offer.

gelrog - March 21, 2004 01:40 AM (GMT)
Gelrog walks up to Valfor and thanks him for his help. He asks him how long he has been a calvaleir and starts talking about a very very very secret place. He says that it cannot be learned by the others and that he is needed to get in. Everyone else just ignore this.

Valfor - March 21, 2004 01:43 AM (GMT)
I lean over and say in a quiet voice close to his ear "I will give it a try so tell me where it is." Then we start walking along.
