novograd- they were from an old scheme i decided i didnt like anymore, so they are bein stripped. and the dawg is for petting and the stick is for easing paranoia...

neways, no painting-like updates. hadnt touched a brush yet since starting this (only about a day, but that was taken up by school)

It was agreed last night (including SC) to shut the blogs and open an AmmoBunker Blog in Myspace for the chat.

The reason being we pay per view on this site to keep the adverts off and the blogs are costing us a fortune! We didn't want to dump the chatter so SC is opening a Myspace account for AB.

please excuse my comment. i thought it was closed due to other reasons, but a cost issue is definitely something i can understand and identify with. i guess im joining myspace now, i never exoected to do that, seeings as i hate the whole thing, but whatever.

but not Tau. see, i got tired and bored of Drones for a bit and slowed in my work... so i piced up this fantasy orc i found laying around for some reason, and ive never bought a fantasy mini ever. so i painted it up in one night minus the base. and here it is, pics suck, my camera was on its last seconds of battery life and i had to take them quickly.







i tried blending on the 'skirt'. my first attempt. not sure if it was done right.

Dude, I wish random models would materialize in my vicinity for me to paint when I'm bored of my guardsmen and tanks.

Keep up the progress in any case, I'm glad your doing something with your hands that involves paint and brushes! :lol:

thin down you're metallics a bit more, and i probably would have painted the spear tip stone.

and i cant give you bigger pics, i downsized them and i am not allowed to upsize them, but whatever. they are at a point that would be normal inspection distance on the table top. and i probably should have painted it stone.

and you lie.... i dont compare with the greatness here.... my meager attempts are like a retarded ferret painted it when placed next to some of the work here.

so i guess i'll paint aun'shi next, but still gotta finish the drones.


and i jus found out today, a friend of mine is moving back to illinois and doesnt want to bring his fantasy stuff with him. so i get it! it is a vampire counts army and a mob of orcs. maybe the rules, but it wasnt clear. i kno i get the minis tho. so plenty to do in between tau squads when bored!

he could, he just doesnt want to. all his friends up there stopped playing, so there is no point in him having them taking up space. he just plays WoW all the time anyways and probably hasnt touched the things in a good year and a half.

ah, the tank. yeah, it is a crappy $10 model of an M7 Preist Howitzer from WWII. i hacked it apart a bunch and planned on making a battlewagon out of it, but stopped till i could get some supplies for it.

and i used a standard red/rust scheme on the D(og)eamon. i have also tamed it. he does not eat my minis or anything. he is awesome.

i like that ork, looks good, and the tau scheme's pretty sweet also.

and then i have this. one of my friends is moving away, and doesnt want to haul his Warhammer stuff with him, so he sold them to me. everything shown, $20.

and i also got the vampire counts book and the main rulebook (not sure if it is current) but another friend is borrowing them.

the contents is something like a box of zombies, most still on sprue, 12 skellies, 6 dire wolves, 3 dire bats, 8 grave honor guard things, 1 spirit host, 10 orcs, the paints shown, 4 brushes, exacto-knife, citadel superglue (i hate the stuff), and a tube of gorilla glue. plus the old dwarves and O&G book and a WD.

all for $20! i was amazed he sold it so cheap.

there wont be too many updates in the near future, going on vaca. the 26th. i will work my arse off till then tho, wanna do some gaming on said vacation and i want most of my minis to be presentably painted.

yes, everyone brood in jealousy over my awesome buy. if only i played fantasy.... well they will be stripped and repainted and then probably ebay'd, because i wouldnt play conts even if i did play fantasy.

and the ethereal will be stripped in the future. i dont like how the skin came out so i have to find a way to fix it.

i saw the new skellies, but that is it. they looked great. i dont really like how the vamp count rules look, but i'll see. if i go fantasy it is definitly being green. orcs pwn. orks pwn more, but...

ethereal will be stripped in the future, i dont like how i did the skin, so i need to come up witha new method.

i have 8 zombies built, plus the 3 he had built/painted which makes 11 assembled brain munchers. yay!

hey. im not stripping every other model. just this one, and not even right now. probably some time after christmas. the skin is too light for my liking, so it will be changed once i can figure out a good replacement.

and i now have built the rest of the zombies, i built 17, and 3 were built when i bought them. i found out that he didnt undercoat anything, which means definite stripping, even though the skellies were pretty decent.

i plan on having another squad of FW plus my drones done by the 25th, because im going on vacation on the 26th early morning (i've already said this i think) and i want a decent number of minis painted for some combat patrol. so updates soon.
