anyway... this is my Autarch and most likely the foundation for my armies colour scheme... but im still thinking about it...


there is no name for my craftworld or fluff for the army yet... but in due time ;)

lol, dont worry ;) i wont be forgetting it... and yeah, most of the army will in that scheme... i say most... its actually relatively little :P

my army list is on the laptop which likes to be broken... so dont have access to it at the moment... but i can say that I'll write it up again... so should have it soon...

Anyway...
The scheme is ok, but a bit dark. A monochrome scheme can work very well, but it is very hard to pull off; it also needs you to use lighting direction and colour to mix highlights, not just using the next paint colour up in the sequence. I'd recommend sticking to a more traditional multi-coloured scheme, and get some more contrasting colours in there.


edit: I'd also recommend not using your commander as a test model :P

As Arhalien said: Stop starting new armies! And if you start any army, don't start elves ... (They're still elves, even if they've got weapons of uber-cheese and are from the far future. they've got pointy ears and are poncy, and that's what defines an elf.)

A good start. A nice scheme so far, though I'd recommend a different scheme, TBH ... that seems far more suited to a darker, more evil army. Or keep that and add bright cloth and gems?

I would recommend white cloth, but that's a bit too close to the dire avenger scheme.

there's going to be more white in the scheme for contrast... and im also probably gonna be throwing in orange as a secondary colour... most likely on the robes and shoulderpads... maybe the face plates as well...

Anyways, eldar...heck it's a painters ultimate army. Could use so many different colours and it will just fit an eldar. Is your autarch the finished result? because if it is I find it a little.....bland.

nah, not finished ;) though my original scheme was gonna be something close to that... but now I'm also gonna be adding in some firey oranges as well :) cheers
