Title: Returning to the UK
Description: Revenir en angleterre...

Hello all, I'll be making an official anouncement on our website and on various forums at some point in the next week, but I thought I'd mention this here too, as this could mean I get to meet a few of you at various events in the not-too-distant future.

Basically, because my fiancée's children haven't settled well at school here in France, we have decided to return to the UK; we have been looking in to this and it looks likely that we'll move over next month (hopefully; we've a few things to sort out before then).

So what about our wargaming facilities that I always used to bang on about? Well, I won't be able to make any more terrain for it, or organise any events :( but the wargaming facilities will remain open. This won't be forever, however, as my fiancées parents can't maintain and run the place without our help, so our property is up for sale.

So, basically, the wargaming facilities will remain open until our place gets sold.

Although it's a shame that it hasn't worked out here, I must admit I am looking forward to returning to the UK and attending some events and tourneys there. That includes next year's Ammobunker Open-day...

We're planning on moving to Suffolk, within 30 miles of Ipswich, so if anyone is in that area and fancies a game when I'm back, you're welcome to get in touch... B)

Thanks for looking!

Man, you move over from France into Suffolk one of the nicest places in the UK. Good choice.

Sorry to hear that things didn't go smoothly over there, that your having to come back here, but there will be advantages in that as well I am sure.

There is a house up for sale in Shottisham in Suffolk, which isn't too far from Ipswich. (I am hinting as its our cottage thats for sale). It has 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen. Its just been done up as well. lol nothing like a good bit of advertising!

the_great_gonzo - May 24, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
Just so I offend no one in particular I hasen to add I'm not english, you can all throw the inbred ball around and when the music stops that county is "IT".

Big shame the french dream fell through, somethings are more important than dreams though, like our children.

Shame all the same, would have been groovey to come over to france, eat some dog and play some 40k in your ace establishment!

there is nothing wrong with people from norfolk and we are not inbred, though i am an only child :)

shame that the dream of france fell through though living in suffolk will be nice (except ipswich which is a hovel)

Ha! many an Ipswich Town FC supporter would agree with you on that... Ironically, before we moved to France I lived in West Yorkshire - that's where my fiancée and her family hail from. North Yorkshire is nice, but my fiancée prefers Suffolk, plus I've still got family/friends there so the decision was easy...

Well, if I ever met someone who ran a B&B on a farm with a big, empty barn that is currently disused, I might put the idea to them... B)

Sorry to hear you're going to have to quit the wargaming B&B! :( Guess my trip to France will be a trip to England then! Because we shall have that game! :P

The Woodbridge area is particularly nice, good schools, too.
I' don't need to mention that I live here, do I?
B)

Cheers
