Title: Pirate ship madness
Description: Steamships, lego, cannons etc

Now I've been painting pirates for a while, but whilst I was demoing at Salute we had some great pirate ships and I thought it'd be nice to get some.

So a month later and I own 5.

For those of you who know Warmachine here are the plans for what my wife and I are going to do with them.

From the left

Privateer ship
Khadorian fleet
Cygnarian fleet
2 Cryxian ships

The Privateer one is getting worked on first. The basic shape for the boat works and I want to keep the masts and sails. For this ship to maximise space I will probably redo the deck with plasticard.

The figurehead at the front is getting completely removed.

The cabin at the back will be getting walls and a rejig

At the moment I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this

In the Pirates book for Warmachine the front of the ship has the Commodore, a big cannon, in place there.

So with clippers, dremel and plasticard in hand we'll get started on these. Might take a bit. My wife had the idea we could do one a weekend. I think it'll be a lot more than that.

nice
that looks promising. I was recently asked to do some pirate themed terrain for one of my customers and this could help my imagination. Looking forward to next posts!

By the way where are those awesome ships from?

The ships are by Megabloks. The problem was finding ships that could fit the scale, but these will all work with a little work and a lot of clipping to remove any visible nubs.
