Bloodletters are well painted and I love the purple goo on the vehicles!! ;)
Ross - May 20, 2008 09:18 AM (GMT)
Cool work mate! The big teeth biting into the side of the landraider is FREAKY :o
Sotek - May 20, 2008 09:25 AM (GMT)
Some awesome tanks and Bloodletters you have there. i just have to ask whats that in the background of the third picture?
Kurai - May 20, 2008 10:54 AM (GMT)
I really like the stripe effect you have achieved.
Bertiboy - May 20, 2008 11:20 AM (GMT)
some awesome lookin deathguard! i love what you've done with them, i'll be keepin a beady lil eye on this 1 XD
Neth_Oni - May 20, 2008 01:24 PM (GMT)
indeed, the marines are really well done and quite original. Perhaps I think the blue/purple is a little bit too big but the sculpting is first class never the less.
freebooter - May 20, 2008 01:25 PM (GMT)
Yeah...
You couldn't pay me enough to climb into a tank with that much daemonic goo seeping out...
Can we get some more shots of your Plague Marines?

Nice to see you back MFV, would be lying if I didn't say I was a bit concerned for ya!
Your work is as fantastic as ever, I'm really interested to see what you will do with the Soulgrinder.

Althanan - May 21, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
Nice work MFV, I see your time off has effected your skills not at all :D
Pray tell, what's that gorgeous looking scratchbuilt tank that looks like a massive Land Raider? Can we get some more pics of it?
Metal Fingered Villain - May 21, 2008 05:23 AM (GMT)
@ Scrubbles
Thank you sir and man o man does it feel good to slap some paint around again. I'm itching to get my fingers on some greenstuff but I have to wait for the post man to deliver it kindly. The soulgrinder will be a fun project, the new GW plastics are very, extremely, impressively dope.

That tank back there is a going to be some sort of ork super heavy for a bad moonz armoured krumpany I've been working on. Not quite chaos but meh, heres some flicks...

Then theres a WIP battlewagon

A deffdread

Still not quite sure about the Kannon on this one, its a little TOO proppa.
Althanan - May 21, 2008 06:21 AM (GMT)
I have two words for you sir.
They are:
HELL
YES
bram kuijpers - May 21, 2008 06:26 AM (GMT)
whoo hoo!!! big orks, ad cool original chaos :D
Bertiboy - May 21, 2008 10:18 AM (GMT)
Deff dread is cool! as is the great unclean one! i was contenplatin makin my own guo but now you've jus inspired me...curses :P
charlie_c67 - May 21, 2008 02:10 PM (GMT)
Personal taste comes into play here. I like all your tanks and dethdread. All except the last one. Looks too top heavy, like it'll tip as soon as it reaches any incline. I know orky teknology defies belief sometimes, but centre's of gravity still come into play!
Marovian - May 21, 2008 05:10 PM (GMT)
Nice work on the vehicles, particularly the chaos vehicles which are frankly disgusting, just right. The Deamon with the big mouth looks very scary. I like the Ork vehicles, although the last one looks a little top heavy. The large super heavy tank is superb though.
jasevx - May 21, 2008 05:29 PM (GMT)
Great Plasticard work, I think the Battlewagon is brilliant, and I agree with the Kannon looking to 'clean cut'
Mister Feral - May 21, 2008 05:52 PM (GMT)
Your sculpting on the GUO is immense, and the Ork vehicles actually look like the ones potrayed in the artwork.

Yea, I plan on bulking hte bottom part out quite a bit with some nice, very wide tracks, the cannon has since been ripped off and will be replaced with a shorter more squat almost demolisher-esque cannon, maybe a boom gun or something, but meh, I'm not to sure on ork names or anything as I've never played a game or owned one of their respective codexes. Well, Im scrougning some money, trying to go pick up a box of daemonettes today..Expect some more progress later as I've got the whole day to work. Thanks again for the comments guys, this place is much more friendly then warseer.
firestorm - May 24, 2008 06:28 PM (GMT)
Ahhh, MFV's Death Guard. They invented Awesome and Win, you know.
:D
Graet to see you're back, and your stuff is as incredible as ever. I look forward to being inspired, and indeed, awe-sinpired :) by this thread B)
Merceus - May 24, 2008 06:35 PM (GMT)
After seeing this I'm having second thoughts about sculpting my GUO... it just seems so futile to even try when compared to that beast, i love it
Now get it done damn you! i want to see it finished ;)

Thanks. I say go for it, you will get better as you go, by the end of the sculpt you will find yourself a lot further along then where you were when you started, you learn a lot of shortcuts etc... even on your first sculpt. Just dont make the same mistake I did and do the whole thing in greenstuff, tinfoil, masking tape and some fimo or super sculpey for a base would be a lot cheaper. As for finishing my GUO, UPS ground isnt particularly fast with the deliveries. Im itching to get some greenstuff in my hands, theres a lot of stuff on him I want to add to, the soulgrinder thats coming in the box however might pose a little bit of a distraction. :D Put together some daemonettes today, I'll post some pics later on tonight.

marcineczek0 - May 25, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
WOW the GUO is just amazing. I aspecialy love his face with all the sharp teath. I would love to pick your brains about thhe colors that you used. I'm strugling wihth mine... I've never painted rotted flesh...
Great work

marcineczek0 - May 25, 2008 01:57 AM (GMT)
Wicked sexy looking models... Makes me want to buy them just for painting.
If I may sugest something I would make them more pale looking like all those goth girls I see in my neigborhood.
Oh and thanks for the color sugestions because what I have right now looks like that slimy bastard from Ghost Basters.
Rictus - May 25, 2008 11:04 AM (GMT)
Good to see you back at it. Always loved your Death Guard stuff...
...I'm quite liking your Ork stuff now as well.
I like the flesh on the Daemonettes, though they don't seem to really 'pop' yet.
MutantMaggot - May 25, 2008 01:19 PM (GMT)
As a trumpet player, I can't help but cringe at the third picture ... <_<
Anyway, fantastic daemonettes: very well painted. They don't seem too pink or purple, which is good.
I love the DG and the GUO: fantastic Nurgly models, and the sculpting is very good. The tanks also look very good and orky.

Thanks mate, your stuff is always impressive as well. You and SNA ever get any of those Marines finished like you guys planned? Sounded bonkers.

The sculpting itself doesnt take that long, the process does. After several years of sculpting this nurglitch skin and daemon goo on a lot of nurgle stuff it goes pretty quickly, what takes so long is letting each part dry so you dont mess it up working on another part. Well I'm off to school to do boring Uni stuff, I'll catch you guys later.
bram kuijpers - May 29, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
the green stuff is looking great, as for the head how about a scared twisted pig's face with lots of extra chins?
