So, after a long break from the hobby due to life and school and a culmination of many other events I had to take a leave from the hobby. Recently however, I have found some time to get back into it with a renewed ferver to finish some old projects and start some new ones to finance a new army of some sort. The deathguard have been on the chopping block on and off for over a year or two and it is now with the release of the new daemon codex that I have decided to finish them off. So along with a small daemon army I will be logging the progress of the completion of close to 3,000 points of heavily converted and sculpted deathguard. Insanity will ensue.

indeed, the marines are really well done and quite original. Perhaps I think the blue/purple is a little bit too big but the sculpting is first class never the less.

I would agree with you, if I was leaving the daemon goo that colour, that is however just the basecoat, I plan on bringing it up to a more pallid blueish purpleish pink rotting flesh color. Well, I've got 600 points of daemons to paint by may 31st, right now, I only own the one box of bloodletters, I've got a soulgrinder in the mail with a plethora of greenstuff that should be here by this weekend. Until then, I must paint as much deathguard and bloodletters I can until that stuff arrives so all I can do is sculpt. I gotta jet to my uni classes but I'll leave you guys with some more plaguemarine shots.

Thank you sir and man o man does it feel good to slap some paint around again. I'm itching to get my fingers on some greenstuff but I have to wait for the post man to deliver it kindly. The soulgrinder will be a fun project, the new GW plastics are very, extremely, impressively dope.

Personal taste comes into play here. I like all your tanks and dethdread. All except the last one. Looks too top heavy, like it'll tip as soon as it reaches any incline. I know orky teknology defies belief sometimes, but centre's of gravity still come into play!

Nice work on the vehicles, particularly the chaos vehicles which are frankly disgusting, just right. The Deamon with the big mouth looks very scary. I like the Ork vehicles, although the last one looks a little top heavy. The large super heavy tank is superb though.

Great Plasticard work, I think the Battlewagon is brilliant, and I agree with the Kannon looking to 'clean cut'

Your sculpting on the GUO is immense, and the Ork vehicles actually look like the ones potrayed in the artwork.

Yea, I plan on bulking hte bottom part out quite a bit with some nice, very wide tracks, the cannon has since been ripped off and will be replaced with a shorter more squat almost demolisher-esque cannon, maybe a boom gun or something, but meh, I'm not to sure on ork names or anything as I've never played a game or owned one of their respective codexes. Well, Im scrougning some money, trying to go pick up a box of daemonettes today..Expect some more progress later as I've got the whole day to work. Thanks again for the comments guys, this place is much more friendly then warseer.

After seeing this I'm having second thoughts about sculpting my GUO... it just seems so futile to even try when compared to that beast, i love it :lol:

Thanks. I say go for it, you will get better as you go, by the end of the sculpt you will find yourself a lot further along then where you were when you started, you learn a lot of shortcuts etc... even on your first sculpt. Just dont make the same mistake I did and do the whole thing in greenstuff, tinfoil, masking tape and some fimo or super sculpey for a base would be a lot cheaper. As for finishing my GUO, UPS ground isnt particularly fast with the deliveries. :angry: Im itching to get some greenstuff in my hands, theres a lot of stuff on him I want to add to, the soulgrinder thats coming in the box however might pose a little bit of a distraction. :D Put together some daemonettes today, I'll post some pics later on tonight.

WOW the GUO is just amazing. I aspecialy love his face with all the sharp teath. I would love to pick your brains about thhe colors that you used. I'm strugling wihth mine... I've never painted rotted flesh...

My best suggestion, use rotting flesh, shadow grey and lots of purple, blue and green glazes. Well I started painting on some of the daemonettes, not sure how much I like how they are turning out but meh, here are some pics. Comments and cirticism needed.

Wicked sexy looking models... Makes me want to buy them just for painting.
If I may sugest something I would make them more pale looking like all those goth girls I see in my neigborhood.

Oh and thanks for the color sugestions because what I have right now looks like that slimy bastard from Ghost Basters.

I like the flesh on the Daemonettes, though they don't seem to really 'pop' yet.

Anyway, fantastic daemonettes: very well painted. They don't seem too pink or purple, which is good.

I love the DG and the GUO: fantastic Nurgly models, and the sculpting is very good. The tanks also look very good and orky.

Heh... :D Well the mailman brought me a package today. Inside, three large tubes of greenstuff and a soulgrinder. With classes done for the day and no exams until finals week, I ripped into this thing asap. Needless to say, the new GW plastics are very impressive, the soulgrinder daemonic bits are a real joy to look at. Being me however, there was no way with such a surplus of greenstuff that I could leave the model stock. The thing immediatley took on the symptoms of a plagued, diseased, disgusting nurgle abomination. Still unsure what to do with the head.

Ah a converted soul grinder, My eyes doth rejoice in the splendour of another MFV sculpt :D

The sculpting itself doesnt take that long, the process does. After several years of sculpting this nurglitch skin and daemon goo on a lot of nurgle stuff it goes pretty quickly, what takes so long is letting each part dry so you dont mess it up working on another part. Well I'm off to school to do boring Uni stuff, I'll catch you guys later.

the green stuff is looking great, as for the head how about a scared twisted pig's face with lots of extra chins?
