Day 367.

Why oh why did I choose to repaint them? Green was good. You get green Lizards. Don't get stupid bright blue ones, but that's a different story.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. My pet skink, Tequila, had died and I thought "I know, in remembrance of him, I'll paint this new unit of skinks in his colour!"
Sad I know :(
It looked good. A bit too good, and so the Dheneb Stone and Chestnut Ink was bought in bulk, and the repainting began on the rest of the army..

There's a good 4000 pts now repainted in the new colour scheme, which have also now acquired red crests. Temple Guard are currently on the go, with a lot of Saurus finished.

Now all I have to do is the other 13000 pts and wonder what exactly I'm going to do now that you can't get Chestnut Ink anymore...
Still, once Games Day is out of the way, I'll gonna get a friend to finish the Engine of the Gods for me (Mumak conversion, can't use green stuff to save my life).

I did a repaint on 3500pts of marines a few years back, I got as far as getting all the infantry done then threw in the towel. So my hat's off to you for getting so much done!

Oh, hurry up and pester the missus for the camera, we as a AB Nation request pics :)

I'm also in the process of repainting Lizardmen (although obviously not so much as you!), so I wish you good luck!

So, there I was, clearing the coffee table to put the Lizardmen out so I could take a few pics.

Big block of Saurus with spears... (oh, got one here not finished, I'll just to that)
Another with Hand Weapons and Shields... (Hmmm, three of those to do)
Some units of skinks... (I'll just finish these to go with them)
And a whole more more.

Then I got to the Old Style Kroxigor... (That's odd, where's the converted Ancient/Champion. Oh, he's not been repainted yet! And neither have these three....)

So basically once I've finished the remaining 4 Kroxigor and 3 Saurus with HW/S ... and maybe this Skink Priest... and possibly another Scar Vet.... THEN I'll take some pics. Trust me, it'll look a lot more impressive with a unit of 10 Kroxigor :lol:

I promise I won't make you wait until I've finished the other Lizardman bits still in progress (Lord Kroak, a 2nd FW Slann Mage, another Stegadon, couple more Terradons. Engine of The Gods conversion.....)

May even then see about taking pics and starting Logs of the other Projects I have on the go at the moment. This is why I have so much unfinished stuff, I get easily bored lol

wow....you've got 17000 points of lizardmen....when do you use so many miniatures? :unsure: . My gaming groep doesn't even have a table that can fit that much....Great work for painting painting all of them and great work REpainting all of them....
