Title: Greetings and Salutations
Description: From darkest Lustria... err Nottingham

Hocistik - May 18, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Hellooooo

My name's Scott, 32, from Nottingham and I'm a wargaming addict.

Phew, feel better having done that.

I pretty much play all of GWs games, except for Epic and Warmaster.
My pride and joy is definately my Lizardman army, which comes in at an easy 17000pts. No that's not a typo, it can easily be more too.
However the one army I have that gets noticed more than any other is the 2500 pt Snotling force. Sure, there are quite a few other greenskins that can go with it, but where's the fun in that?
Also got a few Bretonnians which will be riding out to WFB GT Heat 3 this year.

On the 40K side of things, I've got Nids, Sisters of Battle (pure female army), a few Orks waiting to be put together and some Blood Angels that haven't seen daylight in a fair few months.

Lord of the Rings sees an Easterling force, with Khandish and some giant spiders, plus a few Rohan.

Plus all the specialist games: Mordheim (Dwarf Treasure Hunters), Necromunda (Escher), Blood Bowl (Orc & Goblins), Battlefleet Gothic (nids). Oh and all those other odd boxes (Man O'War, the original Mighty Empires, Dark Future, Advanced Heroquest)...

God knows how I'm ever going to get the GF and little 'un in here too! LOL

Not much more to it than that. Chairman of Da Wot Notts gaming club, very much into Events....

Meh. That'll do. Kudos to anyone who managed to go through all that without falling asleep :D

Welcome to the board mate, I'm sure you'll be very welcome here! Any chance of some pics? The snotling horde sounds impressive!

Looking forward to seeing some of your work :)

welcome to ammobunker, hope you enjoy your stay. i have to say that your the 1st person i've known to say they play man o' war, would be interested in seein some of that :D

Lovely, someone I can pester about a Mordy dwarf treasure hunters force!

On your Lustria addiction....... that's BIG!! But, is it all painted?

Hocistik - May 19, 2008 06:11 AM (GMT)
I'll see about borrowing the other halfs digital camera and take a few pics.

Sadly there have been a few breakages on the Snotling front and since the changes to the O+G book means I can't field them as an army any more, I've not done much in the way of repairs. I'll see what I can do though... 71 Bases of Snotlings (6 models per base = 426 Snotlings), 5 Pump Wagons, 2 Giants (inc a very large Troll) and 2 Snotling Characters (Fagash and Captain Jock Starling)

Lizardmen wise, well I've also started a Painting Log on them. There's at least 4000 pts painted in the current colour scheme, with quite a lot painted in various other colours which all need to be stripped down and repainted.

Mordheim, more than happy to chat about any aspect of the game, not just Stunties. Was going to run a Mordheim Campaign in WHW on the open night (Wednesday) but sadly Real Life™ got in the way...

You'll have Deserter hanging off you with those Mordheim comments :D

Deserter - May 19, 2008 04:33 PM (GMT)
Indeed :) I'm itching to get back to my Reiklanders to finish them off...then the Witch Hunters...then the Possessed...then the Undead...then the Orcs and Gobbos...ach!

Hocistik - May 19, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Meh. While I do have a proper Dwarf group, I'm actually more likely to field my Lizardmen (surprise surprise lol).
They're so far out of date they're broken. Scaly Skin still works under the old rules (never worse than a 6+ unless it ignores Armour Saves, and that includes the Skinks)

Ross - May 19, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
See, I told you he would :D

So you'd be more inclined to play Empire in Flames more than Mordheim Hocistik?
Just an assumption based on you running Lizardmen, them being a non standard Warband and all.....

Hocistik - May 19, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Well there is that, plus the Lustria rules from the Specialist Games website.
But then Lizardmen are likely to travel half way around the Olde Worlde to stop Chaos from doing anything, recover lost Artifacts, bite buttock, etc...

Nice to know your Lizardmen have their priorities right. While Chaos warriors sacrifice everything in sight, humans stuggle to hold back the Orc tide, your Lizardmen are up for some punishment of some poor sod's gluteus maximus... ;)

Another Nottingham lad, that makes about ten of us!

Hocistik - May 24, 2008 07:11 AM (GMT)
Really? Well we should all get together for a beer down at Bugman's then :D

Hocistik - May 27, 2008 07:29 AM (GMT)
Pics coming soon I promise. Got distracted when I noticed a few bits missing from the mass that is already repainted and wanted to get them done before I started taking photos. Got me a photobucket account ready :D

Bugmans sounds good, I'm always up there on Wednesday nights with the boys, plus if BigbadCol is off duty, you'll find me there in the week as well!

(*2nd Attempt!*)
Dammit. Just spend ages typing out what was in this pic only for IE to fail to load the preview page and I lost the lot.

So now you can just work it out for yourself :P

Basically, here's a quick pic of what my Lizardman army looks like right now (and note: this is just what has been repainted!)

More pics to follow, mostly in my Log: The Repainting
