Title: Looking ahead to 5th Edition - Marine advice

Now I've been hearing a lot, especially on the changes to Marines for 5th edition.

Currently I have 4 marine armies. The 13th Company will get sorted when the Space Wolves codex comes out. So they are sorted.

The others are currently:

Blood Ravens - no tanks, heaviest vehicle are Landspeeders and designed for infilitration. Lots of scouts and a stack of terminators too. Using Blood Raven traits from the book

Dark Angels successor chapter - proper Ravenwing and Deathwing setup as well. Obviously using Codex Dark Angels.

Techmarines - mechanised marines. No bikes or Scouts. Lots of Rhinos, Razorbacks, Predators and 3 Vindicators. Very heavy on flamers and meltas.

Now with 5th ed coming and traits looking to be dead in the water I'm wondering whether there will be enough difference to warrant having two armies from Codex: Space Marines. I've got no interest in doing Blood Angels or Black Templars so what I'm considering is whether to split the Dark Angels up amongst the Blood Ravens and the Techmarines and make the Techmarines the DA successors. It'd mean the Blood Ravens get some tanks and I'd probably end up with half a company of basic troops going to both the other armies.

I just cannot see that there will be enough variation anymore and was wondering on other people's thoughts.

Luckily my Guard are mechanised and Drop troops so if those end up becoming similar then we're all in trouble:0

Anyone at all?

I'm not sure how you plan on making those armies translate to the new edition but, you could always do the "counts as" for some models thay way you'll be able to play them with minor modifcations.

It's more I have all these models already so counts as isn't really something I need to worry about.

As I said my issue is whether there will be different enough types of marine armies within the Marine Codex to warrant having two different armies ie at the moment one infiltrating no vehicle army and one mechanised.
