How much have you done in the past?
I play casually at a local course about once a month, with equipment rentals and stuff, so I don't know a whole lot about where you can get stuff.
Any particular reason you'd prefer the single shot weapons over the automatic? Keeping in mind of course that many weapons have a toggle switch to flip back and forth between the two...

The laws have changed recently so be careful how you buy. Wolf Armouries are a good way of whats selling well, tho they can be pricey.

While we're on the subject it is there any way of getting airsoft repaired, assuming its a remotely cost effective idea -there's a knackered Desert Eagle in my wardrobe

Not sure, it came from eBay in about 2000. Spring powered. Black plastic with orange slide. Says made in Taiwan, but I can't find a makers name. Has a symbol on the grips on both sides, a cog with a knife and a leaf

The new UK laws annoyed me as I was more a collector rather than actualling doing the gaming, now I can only buy bright orange or green guns...great. At least I got my SPR the day before the law changed.

I believe that if your a member of some association you can acquire a licence that allows you to have replica weapons as opposed to brightly coloured ones.
If you splash out on the really expensive replica stuff you can get real hardware for them (one of my mates has an M4 with a real Rail Interface System, Red Dot sight etc.)
