Title: Bovington Tank Museum
Description: Useful pictures anyone?

Another interesting day today. She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed wanted to go to Monkey World for her birthday today, so being the caring gent that I am I went along with the idea, but then, on the way home, where did we end up?

Bovington Tank Museum.

How cool is that?

Just a quick look round though as they close at 5 but plenty enough time to get a few photos. If anyone wants to take a peek, there here.

I took mainly shots of German and Russian stuff for ideas for my renegade army, but im sure there's a few bits (like the Ferret) that will make there way into a future guard army.

That was a plesant surprise, I'm sure. :)

That would be an awesome place to spend the day.

We have a similar but much smaller location here in California. It's called 'Tank Land' and is really just a bunch of vehicles in an open field. It's interesting and they have a small guide book which describes what everything is.

The entry fee is reasonable $4.00 but it is really cool to be able to get so close to some of these vehicles. I have some pics that I took there as well to use as reference:

Tank Land

Are you planning a return trip?

Thanks for sharing. Lots of good ideas there.

Thanks,
Tom

Thank you.

Thank you both.

I wish there was something like this here in Iceland, but (thankfully) we have not had a real millitary force of our own for more than 700 years.
