Title: Norwegian Scout titan WIP

Azmodai - April 12, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
I'm gonna build me a Warhound titan.

So far I've only been medling with paper and cordboard, since I live so far north that the mail takes ages.
No really, the suplier where out of the thickness I wanted, so I had to reorder my plasticard.

I have'nt been to idle though....

Looking good so far, but I must ask, why a norwegian scout titan?

Azmodai - April 12, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Simple, I'm norwegian...
It's made in Noway, and lastly it makes people ask...

Just have mental image of Swedish Titan made from pine!!!!! B)

Welcome Azmodai, this should be an interesting project. So far, it looks very good.

KayvaanShrike - April 12, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
Its looking very promising, I like the body so far, looks very like the FW one which is a good thing!

Any ideas for the other weapon, since one will obviously be a plasma blastgun?

Azmodai - April 12, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
Think it will be a Vulcan mega bolter, my main adversary are orks...

Or a horned helmet with scraggy beard and a pair of ski's...

I suppose we should stop derailing Azmodai's thread and let him get on with it.

Azmodai - April 19, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
Got the plasticard I ordered, while I spent the last week out on a field exercise.

Done some work, my first ever in plasticard:

0,5mm plasticard is easy to work with! Happy with my own building speed...

Any suggestions for a name???

Azmodai - April 28, 2008 09:15 PM (GMT)

Soon time to start detailing.

Daemon-Forge - April 28, 2008 09:19 PM (GMT)
thats looking nice.....what colour you goin to paint it? once its done

Azmodai - April 29, 2008 08:39 AM (GMT)
@Deamon-Forge: I think it will be some dull and industrial colour, like it have unimaginative Princeps who dos'nt put his nose where it does not belong. Need fluff along those lines for it to support my DA.

Angel Robertson - April 29, 2008 09:19 AM (GMT)
Wow your knocking that out quick! Very impressive!!

That's some pretty fast buidling going there. How have you got the measurements, are you using templates or just making it up as you go along?

I'm using Lack0fbetterName's exellent templates, with some personal adjustments.

Some progress with a foot, added some details...

The toes are straight, because this foot is going to be just touching the ground.

jasevx - May 10, 2008 11:10 AM (GMT)
thats coming along superbly, i keep looking at the plans myself, but i don't have the room to make one

Azmodai - May 10, 2008 12:38 PM (GMT)
@jasevx: see your problem, between the army, my wife and my three kids, it's a wonder that I have been able to make this...

Azmodai - May 11, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
The main structure has been built, lots of detailing remaining though.

bram kuijpers - May 15, 2008 06:56 AM (GMT)
damn its realy coming together isnt it?

Azmodai - May 15, 2008 09:41 AM (GMT)
Yes, there is real progress. But I've had to GS a few seams, so there is a price for building quickly.
Some of the detailing will probably take som time, since I have'nt figured out how I'll do all of it yet.
But the master plan is armour panels with rivets, access hatches and doors with riveted frames and probably some kind of exhaust...

bram kuijpers - May 15, 2008 11:05 AM (GMT)
maybe you should do the basic titan shape and add all the fancy detail later?

dave38x - May 16, 2008 02:00 PM (GMT)
Shiny Shiny stuff.

As far as detailing goes i recomend build the basic shape. Then detail one area. Leave the model alone for a while (a month or in my case a year and a half), come back and you will have this urge to detail the entire model. Its what i had to apply for my =][= scale marine:

Then again, i lack focus :P

Azmodai - May 20, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
Added a few rivets and some armour plates

Azmodai - May 22, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
@lack0f: Thanks, and thanks for making those templates.

I'm close to finished, the only thing remaining other than detailing is another weapon.
Its a bit of an anti-climax, but then there is painting it.

Azmo

(the model weighs in at just over 200 grams at the moment...)
